Govan Community Project have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Service Manager to join our team. If you are keen to lead a skilled, dedicated team and the delivery of services which really make a difference to the lives of New Scots in Glasgow this role could be for you.
Govan Community Project provides a range of community learning and development activities and projects to support New Scots. These include ESOL classes and activities, Men’s Group, Women’s Group, Homework Club, Bicycle Library and a range of other community engagement activities to empower individuals and families to rebuild their lives in Scotland and make connections within their local community.
The CLD Manager’s role is to provide operational management of our community based activities. You will be responsible for managing a small team of frontline workers, supporting the team in delivery of trauma informed community based activities, coordinating monitoring and evaluation of the service, and contributing to organisational and national policy developments in relation to refugee integration support
Our ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual, with the energy and resilience to support a frontline teamof part time workers, with varied roles and responsibilities. You should have a relevant community development qualification or a minimum of 4 years experience of working in a community based setting, preferably with experience working with both children and adults. You will have experience of safeguarding and be able to support the team to deliver on our strategic objectives and work with the wider staff team to find creative solutions to adapt services in response to changing needs in our community.
