Role

The post of fundraising campaigns co-ordinator is vital for the day to day implementation and ultimately the success of CHAS’ fundraising campaigns.

You will have experience in direct marketing including digital media, social media and be an excellent communicator. You’ll have a proven track record playing a key role in the delivery of multi-channel campaigns and be able to demonstrate your direct impact on the success of these campaigns. Most importantly, you’ll be creative, willing to learn, curious, and the phrase “that’s the way we’ve always done it” doesn’t feature in your vocabulary.

Working primarily with the fundraising campaigns manager but supporting the entire fundraising directorate, the focus on this post will be to support fundraising campaign strategies that maximise the lifetime value of our supporters.

At CHAS, staff and volunteers work together as one team, focused on the common goal of ensuring that no family should face the death of their child alone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in the development, execution and reporting of CHAS’ year-round fundraising and supporter retention campaigns
  • Day-to-day delivery and ongoing reporting and test and learn of always-on digital lead generation campaigns, working alongside the digital manager and the social media officer
  • Development and delivery of internal campaigns to support fundraising campaign activity
  • Support in the account management and training of partners such as Local Hospice Lottery, Face to Face fundraisers and third party fundraising platforms.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, encouraging collaborative working and cross-functional learning.
  • Ongoing campaign email and social optimisation and test and learn, ensuring continual incremental increases in engagement and income from these
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting of campaign performance using Google Analytics, Data Studio Dashboard and Raisers Edge NXT / Online Express
  • Support with tracking and reporting of income and expenditure of campaigns
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver projects to a high standard
  • Administration and processes

About You

This role will be a fast-paced, exciting role for someone who enjoys a challenge. No two days are the same and the joy of launching a campaign which engages and inspires people to donate (often for the first time) to help dying children and their families is immeasurable. Ongoing training and learning will be part of the role but we are looking for the ideal candidate to have strong experience in working on campaigns and digital marketing, so they can hit the ground running:

  • Excellent level of communication and presentation skills, being able to tell the story of CHAS in an engaging and inspiring way
  • Creativity and a sense of fun in their approach to their work
  • Ability to use initiative and ‘think outside the box’ to help develop and deliver new income and donor development opportunities
  • Meticulous approach to planning and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders in a way which encourages them to participate in CHAS campaigns and communications
  • A willingness to learn and to embrace innovative channels and ways of working
  • Knowledge and understanding of the marketing mix and demonstrable experience of working on income generation campaigns
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Data Studio Dashboard and / or other data visualisation tools
  • Experience with email automation using platforms such as Raisers Edge NXT and email marketing software.
