Role

Causeway Integrated Services encompass a variety of well-established Recovery focused community and support services for individuals and families experiencing mental health difficulties who reside in East Renfrewshire. The services include: community-based groups and individual support, employability, counselling supports, physical and mental wellbeing and self-management approaches based on CBT.

We are looking to recruit a member to the team whose role, will focus on liaising closely with individuals and families from assessment, signposting to delivery of 1-1 brief interventions and group work. You will be involved in liaising with statutory, voluntary services and user-led services, to link people with a lived mental health experience to appropriate support networks within the local area. You will encourage people to develop and explore self-management approaches as part of an individual’s recovery journey. The main focus of your work will be telephone assessments, delivering 1:1 brief interventions and group work, either in the project base or in community venues across East Renfrewshire. We are a very enthusiastic flexible team, who enjoy working with change to develop new interventions and activities to meet the needs of service users. We employ an evidence based approach to our practice.

You should be qualified to at least SVQ 3 or HNC in an appropriate area. You will need experience of working within a mental health and wellbeing service, have experience of assessment work using a strengths based approach and be recovery orientated. You will require 1 years’ experience of supporting people through the use of structured, individual AND ideally group activities, to enable recovery.

It is essential you should have excellent communication skills and are familiar with keeping robust, up to date records of your work. You should be competent using ICT systems, including a service user database and Microsoft 365.
