This is an exciting internal opportunity to become part of our growing Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Team within the Scottish Borders.
Funded by the Scottish Borders Council these posts will work as part of our Borders Team to develop, promote and deliver robust and dynamic 1:1 and Group-based mental health and wellbeing support for people living in the Scottish Borders.
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate person to join our Borders team as a Support and Development Worker. You will work alongside the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager and the Borders Team to develop and deliver a robust 1:1 and group work programme for people living across the Scottish Borders.
Your focus will be on developing and delivering group work, on topics such as stress management, anxiety management, resilience and mental health recovery. You will work closely with other Support and Development Workers within the team and professionals to design and deliver groups/courses/workshops, using evidence-based practice, covering the most appropriate topics and issues which are relevant to the people we support. You will be responsible for the development of structured programme of recovery orientated group work which is accessible across the Scottish Borders both online and in person.
You will also hold a caseload of people that you will support on a 1:1 basis to identify their strengths, work towards their goals and realize their potential. Support may include, confidence building, identifying self-management techniques, access and signposting to other support, goal setting and planning.
Regular administrative tasks are required for this role. This will include maintaining records in accordance with data protection and use of Microsoft and other IT programs.
You will maintain positive and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, key partners, and relevant professionals. Experience of developing and facilitating individual and group support services is preferred.

Travel is required across the Scottish Borders is required as part of the role.
