About Scottish Older People’s Assembly

The Scottish Older People's Assembly is a small charitable organisation which exists to give a strong voice to older people about their experiences of life in Scotland, the challenges they face and concerns they have, and to celebrate the positive contribution that older people make to society.

About the role

We are seeking a SOPA Age-friendly Communities Project Coordinator.

The aim of the project is to increase the number of areas in Scotland working towards having Age-friendly Communities status.

The role will focus on activities which will inspire, connect, and support regions in Scotland to become Age-friendly communities using a range of engaging and creative methods.

Our ideal candidate is a team player and a great communicator. They will be a self-starter with good project planning and presenting skills, experience of working with stakeholders and a commitment to the work of Age-friendly Communities and SOPA.

The role will involve home working with some travel across Scotland as and when required.
