Role

The Early Years Service of Multi-Cultural Family Base is looking for a Mandarin speaking Project Worker to join a small multi-disciplinary team.

Your role will involve co-facilitating a support group for vulnerable Mandarin/Cantonese speaking parents/carers and their infants/young children in a community venue (Leith), focusing on perinatal and infant mental health and attachment relationships.

Your role will also involve working with identified families (home-based, outdoors, community settings) supporting them with a range challenges, including additional support needs, mental health and parenting, whilst working collaboratively with key professionals.

This post is initially funded until March 2024 but it is hoped that it may be extended beyond this date. Additional hours may also become available depending on the availability of future funding.

We seek someone who has these skills but is also dedicated to the values of MCFB and is willing to work alongside the team to achieve our goals of anti-oppressive practice and equal opportunities.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
