Role

The Prince’s Trust is recruiting a new Partnerships Manager for Scotland. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is passionate, creative, and results-driven to join our Government Partnerships Team.

This role is perfect for you if you are an experienced individual with an understanding of local and national funding agendas that impact the lives of young people. A confident communicator, you will have the opportunity to present and influence senior personnel in the public, private and voluntary sectors. You will have excellent written communication skills, as you will contribute to and lead in developing detailed proposals, presentations, and budgets. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges disadvantaged young people face in Scotland and the public structures that can influence them.

A team player, you will be joining an ambitious, supportive, and close-knit team of fundraisers, passionate about giving every young person the chance to succeed.

As our Public Sector Partnerships Manager, you will:

  • Proactively cultivate and manage income-based partnerships from local and regional public sector funders and partners.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate applications for grants and other public sector funding opportunities in line with agreed financial targets for the country.
  • Identify new and existing national, regional and local funding sources of public sector income for The Prince’s Trust activities and target groups.
  • Build active partnerships with key public and voluntary sector agencies to increase the local presence and visibility of The Prince’s Trust.
  • Keep abreast of political developments to maintain current awareness of key people and policy changes to maximise income and The Trust's place on the political agenda.

If you are up for a challenge and working in a great team, we would love to hear from you!

Why do we need Partnerships Managers?

Last year, we helped more than 70,000 Young People, with three in four young people on our programmes moving into a positive outcome in work, education or training. The young people we help face a range of challenges, such as unemployment, mental health issues or some have been in trouble with the law. We believe all young people should have the chance to succeed, and that young people are the key to a positive and prosperous future for all of us. We want to continue having a positive impact on young people’s lives and we couldn’t do this without the important work of Partnerships Managers!
