We are recruiting for female support workers to help a young lady “H” who has a learning disability and significant physical disability to stay in her own house within the Gourock area. H uses a wheelchair and needs round the clock practical and personal support for all aspects of her daily living. H is a positive young lady who seeks to be as independent as she possibly can. She requires support to attend a number of social groups as well as attending musical shows and socialising with friends when she chooses.
Successful candidates will be flexible, enthusiastic, have a positive attitude, and be prepared to work alongside H to ensure she can experience the things she wants and needs in her life. Duties of the post will include providing direct physical assistance, emotional support, and general advice and encouragement in all areas of everyday living, from help with housework to enjoying leading a full and active life.
A commitment to a person centred approach is essential and experience of working with adults with disabilities and complex support needs is desirable. A driving licence would be desirable, but not essential.
Applicants must be prepared to work flexibly with our work patterns including evenings, weekends, waking nights and sleepovers.
Key provide excellent support and professional supervision, training and personal development, including access to the SVQ Framework and an opportunity to be part of a great team.
In turn, you will receive:
