Waverley Care is Scotland’s leading HIV and hepatitis C charity. We are at an exciting point in our history as Scotland strives to reach the goal of zero transmissions by 2030, and we are determined to play an essential role in getting us there.
The Policy and Research Officer is a new role, developed to support our expanding policy work in the light the Scottish Government’s commitment to get to zero new HIV transmissions by 2030.
You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the profile of Waverley Care in Scotland, among decision makers and the public. You will work proactively across the organisation to ensure consistent policy messages, and to inform influencing activities by producing briefings, consultation responses, and other content. You will work closely with the wider communications team to bring the outcomes of consultation with our communities to a wider audience.
We are looking for someone who is as excited about the prospect of getting to zero new HIV transmissions as we are. You should feel energised and motivated by the challenge of the work that lies ahead to get to this goal. The ideal candidate is tenacious, creative and self-motivating with an excellent eye for the details and sharp analytical skills.
