Role

Toryglen Community Hall (TCH) is looking for a Community Development Worker to co-ordinate, develop and monitor a programme of social, educational and cultural activities for the residents of Toryglen and surrounding areas.

You will have experience of developing and supporting groups and activities within local communities, and the ability to build good relationships with the local community, members, user groups, and other stakeholders.

You will plan and co-ordinate community events, consultations, etc. throughout the year, utilising local volunteers where possible.

You will identify and apply for appropriate grant funding for TCH and activities.

You will have at least 2 years’ experience of working with community groups in the voluntary sector and of supporting volunteers.

Excellent communication & organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work occasional evenings & weekends.

You will be based in Toryglen Community Hall.
