Having a secure and safe place to live is an essential for young people to engage with education and employment. Our Hame project has been developed, to support young people to have the right support in the right type of housing, which they can call ‘Hame’. Now that the project has been set up and has housed our first young people we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Housing Support Manager to lead the team.
Key responsibilities in the role include:
• Ensure Helm provides quality services to young people and drive continuous improvement across the organisation
• Create an inclusive environment where the voices of the team and young people are heard and respected
• Ensure the development of services that are evidenced by research and meet the needs of young people
• Ensure that services/contracts are fully compliant with contractual obligations and build good relationships with contracting bodies
• Ensure that services are fully compliant with Helm’s internal policies and procedures
• Develop and establish positive relationships with voluntary and public sector partners and other local organisations
• Recruit, line-manage, guide and support the Hame Team to meet all objectives and targets
• Support reporting and monitoring of operational tasks and ensure awareness of how operations effects financial performance
• Responsible for Helm’s Quality Assurance, including the planning, preparation and participation in inspections of the service by the Care Inspectorate
