Role

West Lothian Women’s Aid (WLWA) is the sole charitable organisation in West Lothian working to provide information, support and accommodation to Women experiencing domestic abuse in the area.

We are looking to recruit pro-active, reliable individuals who reflect the values of West Lothian Women’s Aid. Your qualifications and experiences, whether in paid or voluntary work, will enable you to fulfil the role requirements but it is your attitude and character that will make you a successful team member. You will enjoy working within a challenging environment and will actively participate in delivering and developing services of the highest standard. In return we will provide full training and support to develop you in your role.

We are currently recruiting a new member of staff to join our fantastic team of dedicated professionals supporting women and children to recover from Domestic Abuse.

The post is for 28 hours per week (Tuesday-Friday office hours), plus participation in an out of hours on-call rota (once every 5-6 weeks).

The preferred candidate will have at least a year of experience working with children and young people and casework experience. The successful candidate must be a driver with access to their own vehicle and will be required to undertake an SVQ level 3 (Children and Young People) once confirmed in post.
