Role

We are seeking a Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland). This is a new role, and the postholder will work closely with the Senior Policy and Public Affairs Lead for Scotland to support the development and implementation of Barnardo's Scotland's influencing plan with a view to raising the profile and influence of Barnardo's amongst policy stakeholders and decision-makers to create positive change in children's policy.

The role offers the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of policy and public affairs influencing including: conducting research, producing reports, monitoring policy developments, liaising with policy stakeholders, supporting reactive policy work, and event management to publicise our work. The postholder will work to put the voices of children, young people, families, and our services are at the heart of Barnardo's influencing.

This role will be home based but will require travel to Edinburgh and/or other parts of Scotland for in-person meetings as required.
