Role

We are looking for a Development Worker (Edinburgh Alcohol and Drug Partnership) to join our Adult Health and Wellbeing Team. The post holder will ensure the voice of lived experience is heard in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of current and future service provision, delivering a programme of opportunities, activities and events with and for the recovery community.

We are looking for someone to join the EVOC team who:

  • Create, develop and sustain positive relationships with the recovery community and partners in the public sector
  • Generate practical ideas for generating feedback through discussions with the recovery community and other partners
  • Organise and lead relevant meetings, activities and events
  • Develop constructive partnerships with related organisations
  • Organise practical elements of the programme such as venues, transport, refreshments etc
  • Communicate details of the programme in such a way as to make them as accessible as possible
  • Undertake risk assessments and take actions, supported by EVOC when required to provide safeguarding and protected spaces for participants
  • Recruit and service a steering group to oversee the programme
  • Through regular liaison with the wider EVOC team, contribute to the collection, collation and development of accurate, current and relevant resources, information and materials to support the work of EVOC and enable reporting
  • Collate information, ideas and experience from people participating in the programme to feed into a final report for EADP making future recommendations
