Recyke-a-bike is a project of Fallin Community Enterprises where the main business is recycling bicycles and delivering cycle related training and activities that will not just reduce the impact of waste on the environment, but will also generate jobs, provide training and opportunities within the Forth Valley. This is an exciting time to join the charity, who are in a period of growth and development.

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the delivery of the established volunteer program at Recyke-a-bike. Volunteers will be supported through development of skills, including bike building and linking up with other departments at Recyke-a-bike, to become trained in other areas (e.g. cycle trainer who can deliver cycle lessons).

We are looking for a staff member who is person-centred, skilled in mechanics and is passionate about teaching other people these skills. The position focuses on the engagement of volunteering through teaching mechanics and other skills, with a focus on scrapping, repairing and building bikes, organising stock and supporting volunteers through other areas of their development.

Recyke-a-bike is an inclusive charity, and our volunteer project mirrors this value. Our volunteers are wonderfully varied, including children 14 years and older, university students, retired people, people with disabilities, people who struggle with their mental health, refugees and more. Purpose of role

To work with local people to explore and develop understanding of issues arising from the Climate Crisis.

To support communities to organise, take action and engage on the needs and issues that matter to them.

Help local people to come together to form:

• Action / issue-based groups to identify and challenge the economic, gender and race inequalities that exist within communities.

• Groups of mutual support aimed at building confidence and self-esteem and developing a positive sense of purpose.

This role will involve working across the community with young people, families and the wider community.

Stirling Council Advice Services is an accredited provider of welfare benefits, money and debt advice under the Scottish National Standards for Advice and Information Providers. The service is also one of the key providers of digital inclusion advice and support in the Stirling area. Stirling Council Digital Inclusion project offers free and tailored help to complete beginners or those looking to improve their digital skills. The team aim to improve the confidence of Stirling Citizens using a wide variety of services online. We are currently recruiting for 2 full-time Digital Inclusion Workers to work within our Digital Inclusion Project as part of the Thrive to Maximise and Multiply Stirling Projects.

• Thrive to Maximise is a programme specifically targeted at parents across the Stirling Council area. The programme sets out to reduce in-work poverty as well as family and child poverty and aims to help families gain an improved financial situation.
• Multiply Stirling is a new community based numeracy programme funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund aiming to build the numeracy capacity of people across targeted areas and within targeted groups across Stirling.

The successful applicants will work in partnership with the wider Advice Services Team; as well as the Learning and Employability Team.

Both posts are currently funded until 31st March 2025 and will report to the Senior Digital Inclusion Worker.

Rosyth Community Projects Limited is a registered charity based in Rosyth which delivers the Edible & Tasty Spaces: EATS Rosyth project. We operate a community hub in Rosyth as well as a community garden and orchard. We provide opportunities in the Rosyth community for Growing, Cooking and Sharing to increase the sense of community in the town through volunteering to reduce food waste, encourage growing and a healthier lifestyle through the provision of a hub facility serving community meals twice a week. We are committed to enabling a diverse range of local residents, volunteers and visitors to participate in our resources to learn, share and enjoy with the aim of bringing about personal growth and a greener community. In addition, to support the projects financial sustainability EATS Rosyth runs a café as a social enterprise, hires out their spaces, and hosts events to generate income.

Main Purpose of Post

In this role you will manage all aspects of administration and bookkeeping associated with the day to day running of the project. Providing a full range of administrative services, taking the lead on data entry and the management of our systems. You will be responsible for all financial processing as required by EATS Rosyth and deal with all enquires that EATS Rosyth receives from a variety of communication channels, e.g., Social Media, email, phone calls

Main Duties

• To Provide a full range of administrative services as directed by the General Manager
• Manage emails and support with phone calls and social media queries
• Raising & processing invoices & banking payments
• Reconciling of all financial transactions (through use of Dext and Xero software as well as Virgin Online Business Banking)
• Consolidating payroll data to submit to external payroll provider.
• Organise and support meetings, attend and take minutes as required.
• Take bookings and appointments for the use of EATS Rosyth facilities.
• To help ensure that we hold sufficient stationery and other stocks.
• Manage Event and Room Bookings
• To support specific activities as required by the project, e.g. event management; including set-up of rooms.
