Role

We seek an experienced outdoor and multi-skilled senior youth development worker to support our Youth Vision team. This exciting post offers a unique opportunity to work with vulnerable young people in the nature-based informal education setting of our 18th Century restored farm steading in the Pentland hills. You will have experience of project management and lead facilitation with vulnerable young people, staff, and volunteers in the outdoor environment.

Working alongside the field manager you will support, develop, and run our programmes at our Steading and within the community. Experience of supporting funding strategies would be desirable.

The Role:

Support and work alongside Field Manager running and supporting all projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, organising and running groups at Threipmuir farm steading as well as in the community.
  • Managing and supervising the facilitators and volunteers.
  • Managing the evaluation of the projects, measuring, and disseminating the outcomes.
  • Support staff in current funders and feedbacks.
  • Producing monthly progress reports and attending appropriate meetings.
  • Overseeing the delivery of outcomes, tracking of achievements and progression of young people, facilitators, and volunteers.
  • Supporting Youth Vision’s Policies including child protection, safeguarding and risk assessment.
