Govan Community Project is looking for a Communications Assistant to join our team. Based in Govan, GCP provides support to individuals and families in the refugee and asylum community in Glasgow.
The Communications Assistant is a key business support role, providing support to the staff team in delivering high quality, effective social media content and campaigns which promote and increase engagement with our media channels, growing our audiences, along with regularly sharing news of activities through production of quarterly newsletters. The role will also provide some social media support to our social enterprise, Voiceover Interpreting.
If you are skilled and experienced in developing social media content and are passionate about influencing a more positive narrative in relation to refugee and asylum issues then we would love to hear from you.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, proven experience in producing effective social media content for facebook, twitter, instagram and linked in. You will ideally have experience of working with website content management systems and mailchimp. You will have a commitment to the aims and objectives of our organisation and a basic understanding and awareness of the challenges faced by those in the refugee and asylum community.
