About the role
As the Christmas and Events Coordinator you will play a key role in the successful running of our year round calendar of events coproducing these with members where appropriate. You will work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to support with the recruitment, management and delivery of Crisis at Christmas and other Christmas related activities.
As events coordinator you will be responsible for managing the social media channels, curating content, scheduling regular updates and analysing the data insights to ensure consistency and growth. You will promote members success stories and campaigns etc to showcase what Crisis do locally and nationally by liaising with colleagues and sharing achievements.
This is a fixed term contract for 4 months.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience of managing events and on busy projects from beginning to end. You will have experience of managing various social media platforms to engage with different target audiences.
The post holder will have an understanding of the issues faced by homeless people, with the ability to deal with challenging situations and individuals with a range of needs, in order to reach a positive resolution through a calm and confident approach.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups and individuals. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written will be key, as well as working collaboratively with key stakeholders. You will have good organisational skills with an ability to deal effectively with conflicting priorities, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook/Excel).
