As a Trustee, you'll have the opportunity to share your skills and expertise, contributing to the well-being and
independence of our elderly beneficiaries. You'll build strong relationships with fellow Trustees, staff,
volunteers, and the wider community, while gaining valuable experience in governance, financial management, and
strategic planning. By engaging with stakeholders and partners, you'll expand your network and promote our
services in the community. Moreover, serving as a Trustee can also help you develop transferable skills that can
enhance your career opportunities, such as leadership, decision-making, and project management.
Key Responsibilities of a Trustee:
- Collaborate with fellow Trustees to provide strategic leadership and governance to CACE.
- Ensure that our
charity operates in line with its mission, values, and legal responsibilities.
- Review and approve
budgets, financial reports, and funding applications to maximize our impact.
- Support our management team
in delivering high-quality care and services to older people.
- Engage in fundraising and community
engagement activities to promote our cause.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in HR and employment law, finance, and charity
governance experience but we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are committed to our cause. Previous
Trustee experience is not always essential as we provide induction and training.
Chair Vacancy
Our current Chair is coming to the end of their term in 2023 and we would like to hear from candidates who are
specifically interested in this trustee role. The Chair leads and facilitates the Board to ensure it fulfils its
responsibilities for the governance of the organisation.
By becoming a Trustee or Chair of our Board, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the
lives of older people in our community. Your expertise and dedication will help shape our future and enable us
to continue our essential work. Join us in creating a caring community where older people are supported, valued,
and cherished.
