Role
Tap into IT Where You Are charity (tapintoit.org.uk) are looking for a Digital Support Worker to join our passionate team. We provide services and support to enable older people in Edinburgh (including those with additional support needs) to access the benefits of the internet and technology.
The role will be to provide a one to one tech support service that is tuned into the needs of older people (post-retirement age) in their own homes, helping them to stay connected, involved, and able to do what they need to do online. 12 hours per week at this stage but expected to increase with rising demand. Flexibility is required and you must be able to travel within Edinburgh (public transport/bike/car).

- Review and approve budgets, financial reports, and funding applications to maximize our impact.
- Support our management team in delivering high-quality care and services to older people.
- Engage in fundraising and community engagement activities to promote our cause.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in HR and employment law, finance, and charity governance experience but we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are committed to our cause. Previous Trustee experience is not always essential as we provide induction and training.

The post holder must be highly motivated, be able to use initiative, possess excellent communication and networking skills, demonstrate success and experience working at strategic level with policy makers, provider partners, regulators, people supported by services and carers. Qualifications and experience at a senior management level would be a significant advantage.
The post holder will be expected to create and support significant collaborations across the independent care sector while contributing to the development of new care pathways which will result in the delivery of improved outcomes for people who access care and support. The post holder will ensure the Independent Sector’s contribution is fundamental to integrated services and transformational change and be able to evidence their impact. The role requires considerable and skilful collaboration with our key partners in the NHS, Local Authority, Carers, third sector organisations and other forums.
