Role

Each year, with the help of around 3,000 volunteers and 230 staff, Bethany Christian Trust help over 7,000 people, throughout Scotland, to avoid homelessness. We achieve this by providing emergency and supported accommodation and projects and services that help people build resilience to the challenges that often lead to someone becoming homeless.

Our Fundraising Team is looking for a Team Lead who believes in the mission of Bethany Christian Trust and has an exceptional drive for furthering its fundraising efforts by developing its relationships with Trusts, Foundations and Statutory Bodies. Trust and Grant Fundraising has a focus on writing and relationships. It includes creativity, analysis, strategy and spontaneity. It is both: fast paced - with several deadlines and multiple collaborators; and slow paced - with a solitary workload and focused effort. As Team Lead, you will train, mentor and support a team of approximately three Fundraisers to increase and steward vital Trust and Grant income for Bethany Christian Trust services and projects. Together with your team, you will accomplish this by creating and submitting funding proposals, application forms and funding reports. In addition, you will annually develop, and support your team to deliver, Trust and Grant targets and strategies.

You will be part of the multi-disciplinary fundraising team and be willing to support colleagues from Individual Giving, Communities and Events, and Marketing. Living our values, you will work with colleagues across the charity on funding applications and reports, so that together, we can end homelessness in Scotland, one person at a time.

As a Christian organisation, this post carries an Occupational Requirement in line with Equality Act 2010. Applicants should have and be able to evidence an active Christian faith and commitment.
