Role purpose:

The Partnership Manager will play a key role in diversifying the income of VisitAberdeenshire by researching, targeting, and securing new financial support for the organisation, with a gross income target of £200,000 to be raised annually.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

The Partnership Manager will be expected to:

Research & Sales

• Research, identify and build a pipeline of suitable partnership organisations that could partner with VisitAberdeenshire
  • Work with staff and Board Directors to map and engage with potential donors in their networks.
• Drive business conversation of sales pipeline to meet annual revenue targets.
  • Develop and negotiate complex and multi-faceted proposals, pitches, contracts, and agreements with Partners, working closely with colleagues such as the CEO and HR & Business Services Manager.

Account management

• Maintain excellent and proactive relationships with the organisation’s partners, sponsors, and prospects.
• Ensure the timely and accurate fulfilment of contractual obligations, deliverables, proposal & reporting requirements, and evaluations to partners and sponsors.
• Provide support and guidance to colleagues with the management of partnership relationships and ensure key relationships are stewarded by the most appropriate member of the VisitAberdeenshire staff or board.
• Control and manage expenditure for cultivation and delivery of partnerships in line with organisational fiscal policy

Strategy

• Work with the HR & Business Services Manager and CEO to create and implement the Partnerships fundraising strategy to meet or exceed partnerships net income targets year on year.
• Proactively seek to build and maintain an understanding of key activities within the organisation and how this might inform the Partnership fundraising strategy.
• Work with the Management team and Advertising Sales Executive to scope and define the organisations assets and opportunities, further develop our value proposition, and proactively identify and pursue strategic partnerships that align with our goals and objectives.

Reporting

• Work with the Insights & Evaluation Manager to develop a reporting tool to provide insights reports to partners and sponsors.
• Ensure Partners are kept up to date with our work and projects they may have supported
• Maintain all records of conversations and sales conversions within the CRM database.

The Lucy Faithfull Foundation is a UK-wide charity that exists to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation. We’re bold, we’re pioneering, we’re growing and we want your help.

Our Edinburgh based team – formerly known as Stop It Now Scotland – covers the whole of the country. Our practitioners have extensive backgrounds in child protection and sex offender rehabilitation. We provide individual and groupwork to around 150 adults and adolescents every year who present a sexual risk of harm to children who cannot access statutory service. We work with around 100 partners, family members and members of wider networks around these individuals. We use what we learn from our work to develop and deliver resources, information and training for professionals and the public, so that they can better protect children from harm and prevent abuse before it happens.

About you and the role

We are recruiting a Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to join our multi-disciplinary team in Edinburgh to lead the delivery of our business development and fundraising strategies, supporting our ambition to increase the volume of specialist support, training and spot purchased assessments we provide for social work, charities and child facing agencies. Working with the director, you will help develop and sustain appropriate strategic partnerships and identify opportunities for development, reviewing resource implications, risk, income potential and likelihood of success.

You will also work closely with our Fundraising Manager, based in our Epsom office, leading on charitable income generation through writing bids that directly apply for funds from a range of bodies. Developing effective and impactful methods to report on the impact of our services and relationship management with funders is a key part of this role.

This exciting role will play a big part in supporting our efforts to shift the discourse about child sexual abuse ‘upstream’ so that professionals and the public understand in practical terms what they can do to prevent sexual abuse before it happens. We believe our work can only build and grow and lead to the better protection of children from harm through developing our partnerships across a range of sectors (education, social work, leisure services, law enforcement, Scottish government, third sector, safeguarding leads in faith and belief communities, business and corporate sectors, etc), The successful candidate will need to be a good communicator who is committed to the concept of child sexual abuse as a preventable public health issue.

Our ideal candidate will be a dynamic professional who is proactive and outcome focused with exceptional communication and relationship skills. We are looking for someone who can develop knowledge of national and local policy and strategy within the external environment to inform business development, influence potential commissioners and where appropriate, co-design services with agencies. An understanding of tendering and public contracts will be an advantage.

As part of the Leadership Team, the Financial Controller will lead the finance function during the period of the Head of Finance’s maternity leave. The group of companies comprises a charity and a subsidiary trading company.

The Financial Controller reports to the Interim Director of Finance and is responsible for the Finance & Payroll Officer.

This contract will be for a fixed term of two (2) years. The role will allow for hybrid working, with a minimum of three days being office based.

The Financial Controller will be working closely with the Interim Director of Finance, the role of Financial Controller assumes responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the organisation.
