Role

Scottish Environment LINK is currently seeking a Development Manager on a part-time basis, (21 hours per week). This is a varied and interesting role where you will be responsible for the operational development of LINK, enabling the organisation to meet its strategic goals. A key part of this role is fundraising to support core activities and time limited projects, monitoring impacts and reporting to funders. This role leads on maintaining highly effective internal communications and information management across the network, including maintaining an up to date website.

This role would suit an all-rounder with at least 5 years’ development or fundraising experience who has a keen eye for detail, an ability to identify hooks and use inspiring written and verbal communication to build and maintain strong relationships with members, funders and stakeholders. This role will support the Chief Officer and coordinate and collaborate with staff at all levels to deliver effective development strategies across the organisation.

Terms and conditions

This is a part-time contract for 21 hours a week, subject to a six-month probation. Salary is between £34,000 to 38,000, pro rata per annum, depending on skills and experience. LINK makes an employer contribution to employee personal pensions of up to a maximum of 12% of basic salary, complementing employee contributions. The pro rata leave quota is based on 25 days' annual leave and 10 public holidays per annum. The appointee may work the hours over shorter workdays Monday to Friday, or over, less longer work. On occasion it may be necessary to work evenings or parts of weekends, for which time off in lieu will be granted. All approved expenses will be reimbursed.
