This is an exciting new opportunity for someone with a strong desire to use their policy analysis, research and project management skills to bring about big changes that will reduce child poverty.
As Senior Policy and Research Officer in the CPAG in Scotland team you will be responsible for delivering our important new Strengthening Social Security project, funded by The Robertson Trust.
You will bring people with lived experience of social security together with CPAG’s expertise and our case evidence to develop and promote policies that ensure the Scottish child payment and other payments provide even greater financial security for families. You will use your excellent communication skills to write a series of authoritative, lived experience informed policy reports, as well as engage with officials and politicians to promote recommendations for change.
As part of the CPAG in Scotland team you will also play a key role in writing high quality consultation responses, briefing papers, reports and other policy resources promoting CPAG's wider policy calls.
We welcome applications from any individuals with the skills and experience listed and we can be flexible in terms of the conditions of employment. This means we would be happy to discuss alternative working hours, days and patterns, and any additional needs or requirements. CPAG also prioritises and has a commitment to equal opportunities, which you can read more about in the job pack.
