Are you an exceptionally well-organised individual with an attention to detail? Someone who can proactively think two steps ahead in a fast-paced work environment?
We are recruiting for an Executive Support Manager to provide a high level of administration support to our Chief Executive and Board Chair as well as line manage our Executive Support Team (EST) and assist in the administration of the charity’s governance.
About the Job
The role primarily supports our Chief Executive, who leads over 350 staff across Scotland. This means you’ll be interacting closely with colleagues across all teams and getting involved with every part of CHAS. You will run a busy diary, deal with correspondence, and support the Chief Executive in running the charity.
You will assist our Chief Executive and Chair in the smooth-running of the Board and its governance. You will also lead and co-ordinate our annual business cycle that includes various governance meetings. You will act as a clerk to the Board of Trustees and, with your team, ensure trustees are supported in their governance role.
You will lead a small team of high-performing and award-winning Executive Assistants, a Senior Clinical and Care Coordinator, and a Governance Officer who all support other senior leaders in CHAS. Your role as their manager will be to ensure the team delivers expert level administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
This role is currently a hybrid role between our Head Office in Edinburgh or our office in Stepps, Glasgow along with home working. There will also be occasional travel to our other CHAS sites to assist the Chief Executive. We may consider other locations for exceptional candidates.
About You
Being a great administrator goes without saying, but you will also be a strong communicator with a high level of integrity and someone who exercises tact and diplomacy, delivers to deadlines and takes real pride in the accuracy and quality of your work.
We want to see that you have a sense of humour but equally be unflappable and resilient when you need to get things done.
You won’t be surprised that we will want to hear why you think this role is a good match for you, that you have the experience required to hit the ground running.
