We are currently looking for a Community Advisor to join our existing team at the Fife One Stop Shop. The service is managed by Scottish Autism and funded by Fife’s Health and Social Care partnership.

This post will involve working with the One Stop Shop Senior Community Advisors to ensure the delivery of a range of information, advice and post diagnostic support services for people with autism, families, carers and interested professionals.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Promote awareness and understanding of the needs of autistic individuals across the spectrum among professionals and the wider community.
  • You will be required to maintain relevant resources that are accessible and available to One Stop Shop users.
  • Identify gaps in any information resources and formulate actions to ensure the needs are met.
  • You will deliver and facilitate a range of programmes to individuals, families and professionals as directed by the One Stop Shop Service Manager.

About you

You will have experience in a similar or equivalent role and proficient in the use with Microsoft applications.

  • The successful candidate will have a degree level qualification in health, education or social care or other relevant qualification,
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of supporting individuals across the autistic spectrum.
  • The ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of ASD and related issues are essential to this post.
  • You will have good communication skills and be highly organised.
  • Motivation is required along with the ability to work with limited supervision to meet deadlines
