A unique leadership chance to shape wellbeing and protection across Scottish sport
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of a new, national service which will support Scottish governing bodies of sport (SGBs) to effectively manage wellbeing and protection concerns for all who participate in sport. The service is being established through a strategic partnership between sportscotland, Children 1st and SGBs.
We are now looking for a skilled and confident leader to plan and facilitate the strategic development of the service from the outset. As the Service Manager, you will provide professional leadership to determine the strategic direction of the service and manage the team’s partnership with SGBs to:

Base
You will work flexibly, in a hybrid approach, with a requirement to attend our offices, or those of our partners, for meetings and work as agreed with your line manager.
Salary, Conditions, Pension
We will offer you a competitive salary, generous annual leave entitlement (40 days inclusive of 9 public holidays, pro rata), flexible working opportunities and a contributory pension scheme. A Value and Reward Review is in progress with the resultant changes being implemented from April 2024 onwards.
Hours
This is a fixed term, full time post of 35 hours per week funded initially until 31st October 2025.
Information Sessions
We are keen to give you further opportunity to get to know more about the new service and the Service Manager role. Therefore, we are holding two online information sessions with the opportunity for questions too. These will be held on: 11th August at 11.00 a.m. and 16th August at 7.30 p.m.
