Our Philanthropy Team is a crucial part of our Fundraising and Marketing Directorate and has long played a key role in income generation at The Trust. You will be joining a passionate and high-performing team, collectively responsible for raising upwards of £20m a year in support of our life-changing work for young people.
This is an exciting time to join the Philanthropy team as we have embarked on a period of growth following the launch of our new Funding Strategy in 2022 and have started crucial work on our new philanthropic campaign, poised to raise £150m over the next 5 years.
We are looking for a Philanthropy Manager to join our brilliant fundraising team in Glasgow. Someone who is dynamic, has an eye for opportunity, is passionate about our cause and has significant experience in building strategic, meaningful, and long-lasting philanthropic relationships in order to solicit multi-year high-value giving.
You will be a confident and driven self-starter who works well with others, spots opportunities and enjoys a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy in Scotland and in the North of England to create long-lasting relationships with major donors, and Trust and Foundations supporters. Having the ability to connect with high-level supporters and build trust, confidence and commitment is essential.
Most importantly, you must believe in The Trust’s work, live our company values and fit within our team’s positive, supportive and collaborative culture. You must be prepared to travel regularly across Scotland and occasionally to the North of England region.
You will also see our work with young people first-hand and on a regular basis, ensuring your supporters, prospects and influencers experience our life-changing work with you.

Why do we need Philanthropy Managers?
Last year, we helped more than 40,000 Young People, with three in four young people on our programmes moving into a positive outcome in work, education or training. The young people we help face a range of challenges, such as unemployment, mental health issues or some have been in trouble with the law. We believe all young people should have the chance to succeed, and that young people are the key to a positive and prosperous future for all of us. We want to continue having a positive impact on young people’s lives and we couldn’t do this without the important work of Philanthropy Managers!
