About the role

The success of the fundraising strategy at Children 1st has ensured that we have a strong platform to build from and we are excited to be recruiting a Strategic Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to ensure we focus on securing strategic, transformational relationships with donors and partners.

This role might be for you if you are excellent at:

  • Thinking about the bigger picture with an eye on the external environment
  • Being creative with considering how we can make Children 1st the charity of choice for key donors and partners
  • Engaging and building solid working relationships with a wide variety of individuals across all levels, internally and externally
  • Problem solving and finding solutions
  • Making compelling and ambitious asks based on mutually beneficial and respectful relationships
  • Being a motivating manager and team player, thinking differently about where you can support your team, teammates and colleagues across the charity

Travel is a key element of this role as we support fundraising activity across the whole of Scotland. We will be looking for the post holder to be willing and able to travel as the role requires e.g. to events, meetings, to build relationships with staff and supporters and maximize new opportunities.

This is a manager level role that is perfect for someone who has experience in either corporate or major donor fundraising and is looking for the next step up in their career.
