Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) is an independent Scottish charity, whose mission is to be the community of support, kindness and challenge where people can help each other, secure the expert help they need, and collectively advocate for the care that matters to them.
We offer vital advice, support and information to those with chest, heart, stroke and long covid conditions so that they can live their best lives, manage their condition and influence public policy to ensure that people get the services that they need. Our renewed ambition is to become Scotland’s leading organisation for person-centred, user-led community support for people with our health conditions.
The purpose of these roles is to lead the delivery and ongoing development of CHSS community-based support services in the North and West of Scotland, with a focus on enabling people with our conditions to live with and beyond their new reality and self-manage their condition.
The postholders will manage a team of Community Support Coordinators in their geographic area and will be visible and vocal advocates for the charity to maintain our position as the key 3rd sector partner within geographic systems of health and social care.
The postholders will demonstrate the impact of our services and develop and maintain local and national relationships to ensure the long-term success of the charity and the delivery of our No Life Half Lived Strategy.
Please see the role profile to view the key accountabilities, key challenges and required skills and experience.
CHSS employees enjoy a range of benefits including: a 32.5 hour working week, company pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, company sick pay, employee welfare support and life assurance.
These roles are subject to a PVG check. CHSS is committed to equality of opportunity, to following practices, and to providing a service which is free from unfair and unlawful discrimination. CHSS aims to ensure that no applicant, volunteer or member of staff is unfairly treated on the grounds of offending background.
