Role

The purpose of Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG) is to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged within Dumfries and Galloway. We do this by working with third sector partners and public sector agencies to identify areas and communities of greatest need, design responses and create an environment for innovation and growth.

The role of Engagement Officer (CLLD) is an outward-facing role for the organisation; the role will work directly with community groups and third sector organisations to encourage their participation in the Community Led Local Development Fund (CLLD) and assist groups in developing project ideas for funding. The post holder will support and develop third sector organisations, delivering workshops, training and other information sessions to organisations located across Dumfries and Galloway. Services will be delivered in person or online.

The Engagement Officer (CLLD) will work as part of the Fund Management team and will be line managed by the Fund Manager. The team’s main responsibility is to provide the management of external funds for which TSDG is the accountable body, including the Dumfries and Galloway Community Led Local Development Fund and the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund (which TSDG administers across the South of Scotland). This role will focus on the Community Led Local Development Fund.
