Role

Every day people with chest, heart and stroke conditions are leaving hospital scared and alone. You can be part of our mission to make sure that there is no life half lived in Scotland.

By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as a Community, Events and Corporate Fundraiser you can be the difference between people just surviving and really living.

You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live life to the full again. Our Hospital to Home services form a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.

This is an exciting role that will see you working to make a real difference to the lives of the one in five Scots living with a chest, heart or stroke condition.

Organised, motivated and a confident communicator, you’ll be responsible for driving income and building relationships in your area, to ensure we have the funds needed to continue our lifechanging work. We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including (but not limited to) events, account management, marketing, fundraising and sales.

From organising events, delivering corporate pitches, or managing volunteers to delivering talks, no two days will be the same. The Community, Corporate and Events Fundraiser will be joining a hard-working and talented fundraising team, working closely with our Community, Corporate and Events Fundraising Manager, Fundraisers in the East and West of Scotland as well as the wider fundraising team.

We are looking for someone with great organisational skills, energy, passion and enthusiasm, who is experienced at developing relationships, and can manage a busy and varied workload. This is a chance for you to channel your passion for relationship building to make a real impact on the health of people in Scotland.

CHSS employees enjoy a variety of organisational benefits including: Company pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, company sick pay, employee welfare support and life assurance.

CHSS also supports flexible recruitment through Working Families and we are “Happy to Talk Flexible Working”.

In line with our commitment to safeguarding, this role is subject to a Basic Disclosure check. CHSS is committed to equality of opportunity and to providing a service which is free from unfair and unlawful discrimination. We therefore aim to ensure that no applicant, volunteer or member of staff is unfairly treated on the grounds of offending background.
