We are seeking an ambitious, creative and highly organised individual to drive our fundraising efforts and support our mission of ending homelessness in Scotland, one person at a time. This is an excellent opportunity to lead innovative campaigns, build meaningful partnerships and serve a team of fundraisers towards achieving a significant goal.
The Fundraising Manager is responsible for raising the profile and income of Bethany Christian Trust to support their vital work in ending homelessness in Scotland. The post holder will provide supportive leadership and direction to our Fundraising and Marketing team, which forms part of the Income Generation division. They will manage a diverse range of fundraising disciplines and will inspire and develop their team to achieve targets and fulfilling strategic objectives.
The post holder should have the knowledge to provide leadership within digital technologies, branding and marketing. They will be passionate about providing excellent donor care and stewarding major donors and corporate partnerships. They will ensure an ambitious financial performance from their team, utilising funding opportunities and maximising income generation through a high return on all fundraising projects.

Anne Hope House Night Shift Worker – Edinburgh

We are looking for a Night Shift Worker who will maintain the therapeutic centre as a safe environment for residents as the only waking night shift worker, while promoting a caring environment through high standards of professional practice.
This post is restricted to female applicants in order to reduce barriers of access for the all-female residents.
Your tasks include establishing and maintaining the general security of the building during night shift hours, in accordance with policies and procedures and accepted customs and practices, and, in the absence of a Project Worker, with ‘on-call’ management support, lead shift. You will also undertake general household duties including the cleaning of public areas during each shift.
Experience of working with vulnerable and homeless people, experience of working within a team and an understanding of mental health issues, addiction problems and chaotic behaviour are needed for the role.
As Bethany is a Christian organisation this post carries an Occupational Requirement in line with Equality Act 2010. We’re looking for a compassionate and effective leader who can engage, inspire, and support others. You should have experience in adult social care, excellent communication skills, and a creative approach to problem-solving. You’ll bring:
- Experience in adult social care: You should have an SVQ 4 in Health and Social care, or be willing to work towards this, as well as experience leading or supporting teams in social care, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities this role brings
- Leadership skills: You’re a supportive leader - approachable, adaptable, and able to empower your team, especially during times of change or challenge
- Problem-solving: Strong critical thinking and the ability to find solutions that make a positive impact on the people we support and your team

About the Department
The General Trustees are the property-owning arm of the Church of Scotland. The Trustees have an extensive portfolio of buildings and land throughout Scotland which they manage on behalf of local congregations. The General Trustees are supported by professional staff based in their offices in central Edinburgh, including, surveyors, solicitors, health and safety and fire safety advisors, and a business support team.
Context of the Role
This role will primarily work to provide administrative support across the General Trustees Business Support Team who provide adminsitrative support to the wider General Trustees staff and the Trustees.
The post will work in a hybrid manner, with a maximum of 3 days per working week required in the office and the remainder from home.

About the role
As the Registered Manager, you will be an experienced leader leading a team working with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
As the Registered Manager you will:
- Maintain the continuing relevance of services to individuals’ needs and purchaser requirements by ongoing planning, monitoring and evaluation.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the service, managing significant budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and making financial decisions.
- Where a need or an opportunity is identified, lead on the development of new services, support business growth and maintain reputational excellence.
- Comply with governance, law and legislation including local authority compliance, Care Inspectorate (at level 5 and above), SSSC and safeguarding procedures.
- Support the senior management team in the streamlining, promotion and monitoring of quality assurance systems which meets the needs of individual services as well as the overall service delivery in the region.
- Develop, monitor and implement supervision and appraisal systems for staff.
About You
You will have passion and drive to take forward a well-established Service and Team. Be passionate; and committed to the overall aims and objectives of the service and have the belief that people can live fulfilling lives with the right support in place.
You should also have:
- Experience of working with vulnerable people and leading a service delivery team, including managing the provision of a safe operating environment in a relevant context.
- The ability to negotiate with a wide range of internal and external partners and build positive relationships including local authorities and housing associations.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise your own time and workload to meet a number of different and competing tasks in sometimes pressurised environment.
- Social Service and Health Care at level 9 (SCQF) or other speciality/qualification recognised by the SSSC for registration purposes as well as a relevant management qualification.
