Role

Our vision is for a fairer Scotland for all self-identifying young women and girls. A Scotland where young women are meaningfully heard, valued and supported to lead collective action and enact transformational change throughout society, systems and structures.

To help us achieve this, the Collective Voice & Action Worker role will:

• Ambitiously extend our reach to even more young women and girls through a range of system changing campaigns and programmes that are co-designed for and by young women.

• Create safe spaces for young women to engage, connect and build networks and skills that mobilise collective action.

• Supporting the delivery of the YWM’s collective voice and action opportunities for young women and girls.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a co-designed voice and participation framework to ensure young women and girl's voices are at the heart of everything we do by participating, co-designing and leading.

• Support the delivery of our collective voice and action activity e.g. Young Women Lead to create radical system change across Scotland.

• Work with young women and girls on our programmes and signpost them to opportunities for their continued engagement both within our movement and in communities/wider society.

• Assist the Collective Voice & Action Coordinator with support to our advisory collective of young women, ensuring a participatory approach.

• Undertake administrative tasks to support the planning, delivery and evaluation of our learning & engagement programmes.

• Create safe, sustainable spaces with and for young women.

• Are bold and brave. We do not shy away from challenging the status quo and taking radical steps to make gender equality a reality in Scotland.
