Role

Introduction

This is a new and exciting project developing Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid services to women across Glasgow. We are current seeking two women’s workers who will be based in the Northeast locality and Northwest locality.

Role

You will support women who have experienced domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based abuse within the locality. You will be bilingual and speak English and Hindi, Punjabi, or Urdu

Qualification:

SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 6, working towards or willingness to undertake in line with registration requirements of SSSC. Funding and support will be provided to achieve this qualification

About Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid

Established in 1981, Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid is Scotland’s first feminist women’s aid project providing refuge accommodation, outreach, and follow-on services to women, children, and young people primarily from the Asian Black and Minority Ethnic community experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based abuse.

All staff are expected to promote equality and anti-discriminatory practices working with women, children, and young people primarily from the Asian, Black, and Minority Ethnic community experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based abuse.
