Foundation Scotland funds locally-led social, economic and environmental initiatives that create vibrant, enterprising and diverse places. We support communities by paying attention to the challenges they want to address, understanding underlying causes and building community capacities and resources for achieving change. Foundation Scotland has developed extensive expertise and experience working with communities and donors throughout Scotland for over 25 years, giving us a uniquely informed perspective.
Foundation Scotland is trusted by hundreds of communities across Scotland, and over 400 donors count on our services. More than £170 million has been distributed to charitable organisations, social enterprises, and community groups across Scotland through innovative funding programmes and social investment since the Foundation launched in 1996.
As a result of more donors wanting to channel their funding through us, we are creating two new Grants Officer posts. The posts will support our two grant-making teams – the Philanthropy Team and the Communities Team. Each team manages a high volume of grants to eligible community groups and charities across Scotland.
As a Grants Officer, you will get to the heart of this work – providing grant making and administrative support (like reviewing conditions and reports and responding to applicant queries), routinely assessing grant applications and helping to administer funds and programmes.
The role involves considerable liaison with colleagues internally as well as with applicants and grantees, so you will be a confident and effective communicator and have good planning and organisational skills.
If you are methodical, efficient and a creative self-starter with an eye for detail then we’d love to hear from you. Some practical experience in funding would be useful but is not essential.

NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation formerly known as Tayside Health Fund is seeking to appoint a Head of finance to lead the Finance Team and to maintain strong financial management, underpinned by effective financial controls, ensuring effective stewardship of resources in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements which in turn supports the work of the charity.
Tayside NHS Board Endowment Fund is currently valued at approximately £37m and comprises over 450 individual funds. Annual investment income is approximately £1.2m and donations and legacies amount to over £1.8 million per year. Providing leadership over the portfolio and funds is key to this role. Information - financial and non-financial advice to fundholders on all aspects of endowment funds will also be essential. This role will also be the main financial lead for the charity. The postholder will work as part of a wider finance team.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Central Services Committee
Providing the support functions to the Church and to the Councils of the Church, the Central Services Committee (CSC) recruit for areas such as Central Properties, Human Resources, IT, Law and Office Management.

About the Department
The General Trustees are the property-owning arm of the Church of Scotland. The Trustees have an extensive portfolio of buildings and land throughout Scotland which they manage on behalf of local congregations. The General Trustees are supported by professional staff based in their offices in central Edinburgh, including, surveyors, solicitors, health and safety and fire safety advisors, and a business support team.
Context of the Role
This role will primarily work to provide administrative support across the General Trustees Business Support Team who provide adminsitrative support to the wider General Trustees staff and the Trustees.
The post will work in a hybrid manner, with a maximum of 3 days per working week required in the office and the remainder from home.

Youth Scotland, Scotland’s national charity for the support and delivery of community-based youth work, would love you to come and join our dynamic team.
We are looking for two new workers to help us deliver our brand new Amplify Project.
Amplify is a 3-year, Scotland-wide, large-scale Youth Participation programme funded by The National Lottery Community Fund (UK Fund). It builds on Youth Scotland’s experience of supporting youth voice and aims to increase young people’s involvement in decisions that affect their lives, communities and services. Reporting to the Events Manager, this role focuses on coordinating the delivery of Remembrance and Commemorative events that bring together the Armed Forces community, while also supporting the organisation’s communications and digital presence.
This is a mid-level role with opportunities to take ownership of projects, contribute creatively, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
