We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is an education and employment sector ambassador with a deep working understanding of the issues facing disadvantaged young people and families in Dundee and throughout Scotland. You will have significant leadership, management and change experience, the gravitas and credibility to engage effectively with education and employability professionals, and the energy and personality required to lead a youth focused organisation with authenticity and drive. The successful candidate will have significant senior management experience in a relatively large organisation in an education, social work, youthwork environment.

Muirhouse youth development Group is a young person focused community Charity. We deliver high quality youth work, providing experiential education programmes, personal and social development, skills acquisition programmes and vocational qualifications. At the heart of MYDG we exist to support young people at key points in their life, this being where, when and for whatever reason they choose.
This role involves leading and managing Muirhouse Youth Development Group team, to achieve strategic objectives, including developing and implementing the MY Development Plan, overseeing staff and volunteers, managing resources, and building partnerships. As strategic Manager you will collaborate with the MYDG Board to develop organizational strategies, ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, and oversee the financial aspects of youth development work, including fundraising and budget management. As a well-established outdoor development and activities centre, we are currently seeking a dynamic Chief Executive to lead us into the next exciting phase of our organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience of leadership and development within the voluntary sector.
This role will drive the strategic direction of our mission and work collaboratively with our range of stakeholders who care deeply about our aims- including Trustees, members, employees, volunteers, funders, and the local community. The Organisation
Wiston Lodge is a well-known and loved charitable organisation focussed on offering educational & outdoors programmes to vulnerable adults, young people, and wider community. We do this by utilising our 50+ acre rural estate.
We have been operating as a non-profit organisation since 2007. Wiston Lodge has between 5,000-7,000 people access its grounds and programmes annually, and is supported by a group of Trustees, and delivered by a committed staff and volunteer team.

The Role:
As Development Officer, you will support the Partnership & Engagement Manager by:
• Facilitating strong engagement between third sector organisations and public sector partners to address child poverty and related challenges.
• Supporting the sector’s contribution to Glasgow’s response to key initiatives, including The Promise, GIRFEC (Getting It Right For Every Child), and Whole Family Support, which connects to the work of the Children’s Services Planning Partnership.
• Assisting in identifying and addressing barriers faced by families and children, particularly in areas such as child poverty, child protection, as well as mental and physical health and wellbeing.
• Organising meetings, workshops, and consultations to ensure third sector perspectives are represented in policy discussions.
• Developing resources, briefings, and reports to support knowledge-sharing and capacity building within the sector.

You will have a relevant professional qualification in a related discipline and management experience. You will be responsible for overseeing the services provided within these areas and as such will be an effective leader, coach, communicator, negotiator with the ability to influence and challenge, building strong relationships across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring advanced autism practice. Experience of Children’s services would be advantageous.

Community Volunteers Enabling You (COVEY) has operated across Lanarkshire for 32 years supporting 5,000 children, young people and parents/carers to become more resilient, safe and better equipped to reach their full potential. COVEY provides 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring and family support.
COVEY is seeking a passionate, professional and proactive individual to provide support to families who are experiencing difficulties or challenges in their everyday lives such as isolation, mental and physical health problems, disability, poverty and trauma. This involves direct work with children, young people, parents/carers and whole families via 1-1 intervention/support and group-based mentoring.
The successful candidate will provide person centred, relationship-based support to children, young people and parents/carers to help them identify and address short-term needs (strengthening confidence, wellbeing and family/community relationships) and support long-term aspirations into positive destinations. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, manage complex cases, and support volunteer mentors.
