Based in Perth, you will report directly to the Head of Region – Scotland and be part of the regional leadership team. As a People business partner, you must be confident in seeking to understand the regional challenges and opportunities (not just People) to challenge, coach and motivate success for the region. You must be able to think and act pragmatically and with agility to ensure we are applying sound people management practice to both our employees and volunteers. With an indirect reporting line to the HR Operations Manager (based in Poole) and working alongside our Volunteering Development Operations Manager you will seek to ensure national consistency of policy and practice to deliver regional needs.
There is flexibility in where you are expected to work, but the expectation is you will be present in the Perth regional support centre with your leadership peers, working from home or out on the coast getting to know our lifesaving communities and management teams, from Aith to Kippford/Eyemouth, across our 46-lifeboat stations or lifeguard support centre.
You will line manage the embedded regional People Advisor and Volunteering Advisor team and will draw on support from the people admin and volunteering teams based in Poole. Success in this role will see you have oversight and ownership of all regional people matters that you will support through to completion, rather than providing a signposting service.

Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire is a vibrant community charity making a big impact on families with young children (under 5) in the local area. Our trained volunteers and staff help families through challenging times. In Scotland, over 1,500 volunteers support over 3,500 families and 6,500 children each year through compassionate, confidential help to parents when they need us most.
The parents we support are often overwhelmed and isolated. They may be struggling with mental health, illness, disability, multiple birth, poverty, domestic abuse, separation or trauma. We provide both 1:1 and group support to families, helping them to cope with the stresses and strains of life and make sure they have the skills, confidence and strength they need to nurture their children.

Based primarily at CatStrand, New Galloway, the Cultural Glenkens Project Lead is an important role within GCAT. Working as one of the 3 keys strands of the Arts programme, you will be responsible for delivering the Cultural Glenkens project. This has six key components:
1. Delivering an Events programme, in collaboration with Glenkens grass-roots volunteer heritage organisations and regional partners. To include a Festival of Land.
2. Delivering Galloway Conversations – programme of hybrid talks on a heritage theme, with regional partners.
3. Supporting Glenkens grass-roots volunteer heritage organisations in their work, with a view to increasing their long-term sustainability and self-sufficiency.
4. Creating a digital archive for the Glenkens, including oral histories.
5. Delivering an intern programme across the Glenkens.
6. Working with local schools to improve heritage understanding.

With support and investment from Impact Funding Partners, we are recruiting for a Volunteer Coordinator to build on Westfield Park Community Centre’s (WPCC) volunteer engagement strategy with the local community. The post will be responsible for volunteer recruitment needed to support the development of a programme of activities and events and to meet the needs of the local community.
The position is 20 hours per week, with a degree of flexibility and incorporating occasional evening and weekend work. Salary at full time equivalent is £24,000 on a fixed term 1 year contract. WPCC offers 29 days Annual leave and will include 2 fixed public holidays. The organisation contributes equivalent to 6% of the post’s salary into the pension scheme.
The Volunteer Coordinator will contribute to the day-to-day management and smooth running of WPCC, ensuring that WPCC is a vibrant, welcoming and well managed facility that operates for the benefit of the local community and the residents of the Falkirk District area.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate relevant experience in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and have a very good understanding of community development and challenges facing local communities. Relevant experience of the third sector would be beneficial.
