This is an exciting role within Lambhill Stables Community Hub. The purpose of the job will be to supervise the kitchen and work alongside a team of dedicated volunteers with various capabilities to deliver our existing menu of café staples and develop exciting seasonal dishes, utilising veg from our community garden.
It is expected that the Kitchen Manager will take responsibility for all aspects of co-ordinating a Community Café, in collaboration with our longstanding Kitchen Supervisor, our Kitchen Assistant and volunteers. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards at all times in cleanliness, organisation and food quality and must be able to work effectively with limited supervision and demonstrate leadership in order to motivate others. This job will be expected to contribute to our funded outcomes as follows:

The Larick Centre is Tayport’s first purpose-built community centre. It comprises a large sports hall, small meeting room, and two further rooms which can be booked for a variety of purposes.
The Larick Centre has been funded through charitable donations and grants, however as funding streams reduce, the centre must become more self-sustaining by generating its own income. Tayport Community Trust was established in 2008 to develop and support projects and activities that contribute to a vibrant and sustainable local community.
Tayport Community Trust (TCT) operates alongside its commercial arm, Tayport Community Enterprise (TCE). TCE operates the Larick and Harbour Cafes, and the Larick Campsite. Income generated by TCE supports TCT to provide the community activities of the Larick Centre.

Through networking events, pop-up markets, and community engagement, we will create sustainable economic opportunities, breaking down systemic barriers and fostering entrepreneurial inclusion within Glasgow’s diverse communities.

The Pathways Coordinator will work at the heart of a collaborative effort between MCR Pathways, the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership, and all members of the Carers Strategy Implementation Group to identify, engage and empower young carers, particularly those currently hidden from formal support. Through strong partnerships, trauma-informed practice and community-based outreach, the Coordinator will build trusted relationships with young carers, facilitate group and one-to-one sessions and support consistent, life-changing mentor matches that help young people thrive emotionally, socially, and in their education and future pathways.
