Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. We have represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for almost 100 years. Today, in over 60 communities we work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others.

About the Role
Redhall is a mental health service based in an award winning walled garden/six acre estate in Edinburgh. In a beautiful outdoor setting we promote recovery from mental ill health through therapeutic horticulture including organic gardening, conservation and team working. There is a strong group work emphasis, staff work with the people attending our service to develop and maintain the garden, plant nursery and estate which is open to the public on weekdays and occasional weekends. Duties also include key working responsibilities, supporting our service users with their personal development plans.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and practical individual to join our team of eight.
Applicants should have:
You will have experience in horticulture, ideally both garden and plant nursery work, and of supporting groups in an outdoor setting.
You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills and a mature attitude together with adaptability, creativity and enthusiasm. You will also have experience and a good understanding of working with mental health issues.
You will be required to work flexibly to suit the needs of the service including some evening and weekend working.

Community Transport Glasgow (CTG) is a charity and company limited by guarantee and was established to provide relief to communities of Glasgow and its environs, who are in need due to age, mobility, mental and physical disability, illness and poverty. This is achieved by providing affordable, reliable, accessible transport solutions to the local communities we serve. CTG is one of the largest Community Transport Charities in Scotland.
Our transport solutions are tailored to the needs of people who have difficulty accessing public transport. The demographics of the local communities we provide transport solutions for include older adults, those with a disability or mobility issues and those who are socially excluded.
In terms of transport solutions provided, CTG delivers just about every type of transport that community transport operates. This includes group transport to local voluntary and community groups, community bus registered timetabled services, assisted support for learning school transport and demand responsive transport solutions - that assists individuals to access local services.
Following successful funding bid to the Motability Foundation, CTG is embarking on an exciting new 3 year project. This new project with MF will, through transport solutions, be a social connector, enabling people to get out and about within their local community, access the healthcare they need, participate in activities and social events, reduce social isolation and loneliness and increase people's physical and mental wellbeing.
Therefore, we are recruiting a 20 hour driver position to help us take this forward.

Due to successfully securing new funding from Smarter Choices Smarter Places, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Gear Up Mechanic who will support the maintenance of our bike and eBike fleet, as well as engage our communities with Active Travel and support them to develop their own skills in this field.
You’ll assess, service, repair, and maintain all types of bikes and eBikes, help train others in bike maintenance, and support the development of events and partnerships.

To be considered for this role you must have significant experience of developing and delivering land management and nature-based health activity.
