The Society provides financial support to people in their homes who are unable to work because of long term medical conditions. We have charitable status and manage Trust funds of over £5m which are used to provide grants and annuities.
We wish to appoint additional Trustees who will play an important role in leadership of the Society, setting its strategy and priorities and ensuring good governance.
The Society was established in 1805 and an updated Royal Charter was approved by the King in 2024 confirming our continuing mission of Home Support.
We will consider all applications and to maintain a diversity of skills, knowledge and experience on the Board and we are particularly interested in applications from individuals with any one of the following backgrounds:

Ricefield Arts & Cultural Centre is a registered charity and social enterprise for the exploration and promotion of Chinese culture and has an excellent reputation for delivering original and inspiring creative experiences, cultural events and workshops to community groups, public institutions and arts audiences around Scotland.
We are currently looking to appoint a Treasurer to join our small Board. The Treasurer will be responsible for managing all financial matters on behalf of our organisation and will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation has robust financial processes to ensure it meets its legal and constitutional requirements. It will also be the responsibility of the Treasurer to report the financial position at the board meetings. While we encourage and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, we are keen to hear from candidates that have experience of charity financial management or are chartered in a suitable accountancy field.
All Trustees are required to attend monthly board meetings, either at our office located in the heart of Glasgow city centre or via Zoom. In addition, we ask Trustees to attend our annual board development day, important meetings with stakeholders and some events and projects, where possible. As Ricefield Arts is a social enterprise, the role also involves serving as our Board of Directors.
Please note that this is a voluntary role. Neither the Trustees nor Board of Directors receive any remuneration, however, travel expenses incurred in carrying out board duties will be fully reimbursed.

The Butterfly Trust is the lead provider of social and psychosocial support for people affected by Cystic Fibrosis throughout Scotland. We provide a comprehensive range of outreach services for all ages of people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families across Scotland.

The Adult Services Manager is responsible for providing a range of services to adults affected by Cystic Fibrosis, including direct support for carers and supervision of volunteer mentors who provide direct support them.
They will work in collaboration with specialist medical personnel to ensure provision of professional and integrated medical and social support services as well as liaising with Social Care Services, Local Authorities and other relevant specialist agencies, as required.
Full driving licence and a car is essential.
For this regulated work the successful candidate will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership which will be paid for by the Trust.

GNWCAB’s Board of Directors are looking for four new Directors to work alongside other board members to oversee and support our Chief Executive and our dynamic team of staff and volunteers. Later this year, we will be moving premises and we are seeking to expand our Board to support this process and our onward development. At this important point in our journey, we are seeking Directors who can bring different perspectives to help the Bureau achieve its plans for the future and provide the most relevant and accessible advice services possible.
The Board is currently made up of seven Directors, each offering a different skillset that can support the governance needs and development aims of the organisation. We welcome applications from anyone who feels passionate about our work, regardless of professional background.
The Board has identified an upcoming skills gap related to third sector fundraising and governance, and we hope to fill one of the four roles with someone who has experience of this kind. We would encourage applicants with this background to also consider joining our Finance, Risk, and Audit Committee (FRAC).
