As a Housing and Homelessness Advisor, you’ll provide person‑centred housing support to the Armed Forces community, offering advice, casework and tenancy sustainment to those at risk of homelessness. You’ll triage new enquiries, manage a varied caseload and ensure accessible, inclusive support for all beneficiaries.
Working closely with local authorities, housing providers and third‑sector partners, you’ll help deliver joined‑up support through the Council’s Housing Options approach. You’ll represent GHH in forums with key stakeholders, including Homeless Network Scotland, and contribute to housing projects and outreach clinics across the city.
A key part of the role includes applying for funding for rent, deposits and emergency accommodation, while supporting beneficiaries to maintain stable, long‑term housing through proactive engagement and early intervention.
This is a dynamic, community‑focused role where no two days are the same. You’ll develop your skills in case management, safeguarding, multi‑agency working and crisis support, while making a meaningful difference to those who have served.
As a pet‑friendly service, GHH regularly supports beneficiaries who may have assistance or support animals.
About the team
GHH, based at the Pearce Institute in Govan and delivered in partnership with SSAFA and Glasgow City Council, provides trusted support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Our trauma‑informed, holistic approach offers wraparound assistance that addresses housing needs alongside wider wellbeing challenges, helping beneficiaries build resilience and sustain long‑term housing solutions.
The service operates a gateway model, giving the Armed Forces community a single point of contact for housing, financial, employability and wider support.
You’ll be part of a highly collaborative network, working closely with local and national partners such as Citizens Advice Scotland, Veterans Housing Scotland, Erskine, Scottish Veterans Residences, Defence Medical Welfare Services, Homeless Casework Teams and Homeless Network Scotland. The role also involves attending stakeholder events that may occasionally fall outside of standard office hours.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a proactive, compassionate person with a genuine interest in housing and homelessness. You’ll bring relevant experience or strong transferable skills, along with the motivation to support the Armed Forces community through complex housing challenges.
Ideally, you will hold a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 2 or 3 qualification in Housing Practice or be willing to work towards it as part of your development in the role
You’ll manage a varied caseload, provide person‑centred support, and work closely with local authorities, landlords and partner agencies. Strong communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills are essential.
This is a community‑based role involving citywide travel, outreach work and home visits, and requires flexibility when dealing with urgent or changing needs.

About the team
Our Policy & Participation Team helps develop Cyrenians’ work to influence policy and systems change through learning from lived and professional experience.
Based within Cyrenians’ Outreach pillar, we work closely with services across the whole organisation, as well as external stakeholders and partners, including national and local government, funders and other third sector organisations.
The team currently consists of a Policy & Participation Manager and Youth Participation Lead.
We cover three main projects:
In addition to delivering the projects above, the team works closely with the Press & Public Affairs Manager on influencing opportunities and – when capacity allows – supports other policy and participation initiatives across Cyrenians’ services, e.g. cross-organisational responses to public policy consultations.
About the role
This is a new role created to mainly support delivery on two of our participation projects: the Scottish Frontline Network and All in For Change.
Working closely with the Policy & Participation Manager, you will deliver activities across both projects. The main focus will be to create safe and inclusive ways for people with experience of homelessness and frontline staff to share their expertise and influence change. Key activities will include organising and facilitating various types of engaging events, workshops, focus groups and meetings (both online and in-person) for frontline professionals and people with lived experience of homelessness.

Our long-term vision is to end youth homelessness. Our more immediate mission is to ensure that every young person in Scotland has access to expert youth specific services to assist them to avoid, resolve and move on from homelessness, making it rare, brief, and non-recurring.
Context
The Project Worker will work as an intensive support worker linking directly with young people either in the community or from the office base in Govan. They will coordinate and provide emotional and practical support on a 1:1 and group basis. Working with young people to secure a tenancy or to maintain their tenancy to ensure that a young person’s experience of homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.
The Project Worker will offer line management, guidance, and support to volunteers, working together to support young people to improve their practical independent living skills, access other services and to reach their full potential. Project Workers are responsible for completing housing applications, support plans and risk assessments and are the main contact for any key peopleinvolved in the care and support of young people.

The Role
The Operations Manager’s role is to support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), by managing all operational aspects of Trust in Fife so that it achieves its objective of supporting homeless people, those who may be threatened with homelessness and disadvantaged people and in so doing meets its contractual obligations, financial commitments and regulatory requirements.
Maintaining registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and a suitable PVG return are also requirements for the role. You will be required to take part in an on call service (one week in ten) for on call for our Housing Support Services.

Our Short Term Housing programme provides a link between private property owners and tenants. Our goal is to end homelessness by providing access to privately rented properties, as we believe that this is an effective and long-term solution. The Tenant Liaison Worker will ensure a high-quality, customer focused housing management service within their individual property portfolio, ensuring effective customer liaison and promotion of tenant participation.
