Geeza Break is a unique, well-established, community-based organisation committed to improving the health, wellbeing and care outcomes of local children, young people and their families. We provide regulated, registered social care services and community groups, providing families with both practical and emotional support, meaningful engagement and strong community connections. Everything we do is rooted in listening to and supporting children, young people and their families, safeguarding and advocating for them, providing quality, nurturing and inclusive respite care in the community and championing their rights and wellbeing.
We are now inviting applications from committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee, you will provide strategic leadership and good governance in line with our mission and values, ensure legal and financial compliance, and help shape the long-term direction of the organisation. You may also act as an ambassador and champion for the organisation.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. Lived experience of care service provision and/or the Northeast of Glasgow where the organisation is based and primarily delivers services and support, is valued, alongside skills or expertise in other areas such as governance, HR, fundraising, marketing and communications, community partnership working, social care delivery, safeguarding or risk management.
Previous board experience is not essential as a board induction programme will be provided with support from existing trustees, the Chief Executive and staff team, and we welcome informal discussions or a visit to our office to hear more about the role and its requirements prior to application.
The trustee role is an unpaid voluntary role, with reasonable expenses available and reimbursed in line with policy. Board meetings are currently held every six weeks on a Tuesday afternoon, with a finance and resource subgroup held the Thursday prior to the board meeting. Meetings can be attended online or in person to accommodate trustee’s diary availability and remove any barriers to participating.
Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire (WASLER) have delivered domestic abuse services across South Lanarkshire for more than 30 years. We provide an outstanding level of service provision to support the needs of women, children and young people who have experienced, or are presently experiencing domestic abuse.
We are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced, qualified and skilled woman to fulfil the role of Specialist Worker within our Refuge team - 22.5 hours per week
The Specialist Worker – Refuge will provide a high quality and specialist support service to women living in Refuge working to ensure their safety and recovery. Applicants must also be qualified to SVQ level 3, or equivalent in a relevant qualification and registered (or willing to register) with SSSC. Job Description
Our Recovery Workers work with our service users to help them to determine what their goals, ambitions and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them onto the path to recovery. This is an integral role for WithYou - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities. You will manage an active caseload of service users, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity.
You will be motivated to work as part of a thriving and diverse team, ensuring recovery opportunities are available for individuals at any point in their recovery journey. You will strive to work collaboratively with partners and communities, ensuring that we are as accessible as possible and that true person centred practice is at the heart of all that we do.
This post requires travel across East Ayrshire, as such a driving license and access to a vehicle would be beneficial. An SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health care and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is required for this post.
This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week with days negotiable Monday to Friday. This post is on a fixed-term basis until 31/03/2027.

Description of Role
In this role you will provide strategic, values-driven leadership and inspiring management to the staff team across three food hub projects, motivating and supporting individuals in their work. You will provide continuity of leadership during a maternity cover period, maintaining delivery of agreed organisational priorities. You will hold organisational oversight of fundraising activity, with responsibility for meeting agreed income targets, increasing and diversifying existing and new revenue streams, specifically digital donations, corporate social responsibility and charitable trust income. Work with the income generation manager to build sustainable, reliable unrestricted income generation.
Using community development approaches you will support and maintain a clear fundraising vision and project development aimed at reducing the impacts of food poverty, improving health and wellbeing and developing community-led responses. You will take an active role in building partnerships and joint working with a range of organisations and groups to plan and deliver food-based focused work, and you will have day-to-day responsibility for the strategic leadership and development of the organisation, working closely with the Board of Directors.
You will also act as the organisation’s Safeguarding Lead.

If so, you can be part of a National Team of Post Diagnostic Support Link Workers (PDS Link Workers) providing high-quality, person-centred support to people living with dementia and their families for a minimum of a year following diagnosis in line the Scottish Government’s minimum guarantee.
The aim of the PDS National Service is to enable people to live well with dementia and is centred around Alzheimer Scotland's 5 pillar model so that people move on to a period of supported self- management.
The model includes understanding the illness and coming to terms with the diagnosis, peer support, connecting and maintaining links with their community along with planning for future care and decision making to develop an outcome focused plan to support their future hopes, desires and aspirations.
Supporting our East and Mid Ross shire, Highland locality, the post will be based within the Community Mental Health Team at Invergordon Hospital. Alzheimer Scotland’s PDS Link Workers are required to be effective team workers and have the skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues both within Alzheimer Scotland, the NHS and other stakeholders.
Skills in using digital platforms are essential as we use a blended approach to support people that involve some virtual meetings and on-line groups.
Applicants must hold a recognised relevant professional qualification, have a good understanding of dementia and how it affects people and their families along with excellent communication skills, a warm flexible approach, combined with skills in empathy and relationship building.
In addition, you should have skills and knowledge at the Enhanced Level of the Promoting Excellence Framework or be able to evidence you are working towards its completion.
