Job Overview

The finance team plays a critical role in supporting the organisation to deliver its strategic ambitions, ensuring strong financial stewardship, robust reporting, and effective decision-making. This role is key to the ongoing development of the finance function as the charity continues to evolve and grow.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support the Head of Finance and Corporate Services and lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance team. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, including management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and statutory reporting across the charity. You will also play a key role in driving finance transformation activity, including the implementation of new systems and continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Working closely with the Head of Finance and Corporate Services and budget holders across the organisation, you will act as a trusted business partner, providing financial insight and guidance to support decision-making. You will lead on budget holder reporting and review meetings, support audit processes, and contribute to the development of financial policies, procedures, and a cost-effective procurement approach.

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong experience managing and developing finance teams. You will bring excellent technical knowledge, including an understanding of charity finance regulations, alongside strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. You will be comfortable operating both strategically and operationally, with the ability to drive change, improve processes, and deliver high-quality outputs in a dynamic environment.

An asset-based approach has been adopted to help increase an individual’s self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence. Self-development and reflection are key to an individual when putting into practice the skills and learning achieved within the service to help sustain their recovery and offending behaviour.

The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

The Finance Manager will have a close relationship with the Finance & Risk Committee – a group of Trustees focused on these key areas – and will attend and report at these meetings. You will also work with an external firm of accountants, who support with payment runs, payroll and accounting advice, and a separate firm of auditors, who will require an annual audit pack including various reconciliations and disclosure notes to support our annual accounts. NCM has also been working with a Finance Consultant who will continue to provide support, strategic guidance and continuity."

Specifically the post holder will manage the small trust portfolio, support with reporting on KPIs and impact, create engaging cases for support, and support the Manager with various tasks, freeing them up to develop larger, strategic bids.

The ALLIANCE is excited to be recruiting new members to join our Community Links Practitioner team that will be based in Glasgow.

There are two part-time posts available, 21 hours per week and one full-time 35 hours per week maternity cover post.

As part of the Links Programme, you will provide a person-centred service that is responsive to the needs and interests of people living in areas affected by socio-economic deprivation. You will support people to identify issues that affect their ability to live well. The post-holder will work collaboratively with individuals to support them through decision making processes and help them decide upon the issues that they would like to address; helping them overcome any barriers to addressing these.

Using service improvement methodology, the Community Links Practitioner will support the existing primary care team to adopt a links approach.

They will support staff in becoming skilled in identifying local services and matching They will support existing staff in becoming skilled in identifying local services and matching them to the needs of individual people. Typical examples include social or lunch clubs, self-help groups, befriending organisations, hobby clubs (such as gardening clubs) and employment or voluntary-work agencies.

The Community Links Practitioner will identify community resources and facilitate relationships between these resources and the practice for the benefit of the patient. They will also build relationships and processes with statutory organisations, health services and voluntary organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, Money Advice Service, NHS services and charities.

The aim of the Links Practitioner Programme is to support people to live well through strengthening connections between community resources and primary care in deprived areas in Scotland.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Ability to develop a non-dependent relationship with awareness of personal and professional boundaries, whilst being supportive and respectful of others and non-judgmental
  • Resilience

Based in a school in Northeast area of Glasgow, with some meetings/events carried out in the local community/across Glasgow, the Schools Community Links Practitioner will provide tailored, non‑stigmatising support and improve access to energy advice and services, including carbon monoxide (CO) awareness, priority services registration, CO alarms, advocacy, and safeguarding. By offering a safe and trusted space within the school, the project aims to reduce fuel poverty and strengthen connections to essential energy and wider support services for families.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience at delivering advice to a wide range of people and families and be familiar with benefit entitlements/income maximisation as well as showing empathy and understanding of the issues faced by our customers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the provision of advice to low-

income households in energy efficiency or related fields.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with limited supervision.

We’re hiring a dedicated Women’s Hub Support and Trauma Worker

WRASAC supported by partners across the Dundee were responsible for the setting up, development and facilitation of Dundee Women’s Hub (DWH).

The main aim of the DWH is to increase capacity and co-ordination of services to respond to the needs of the women experiencing substance use and multiple disadvantage. The hub has been working to improve access to substance use and related services for women in Dundee with the overall goal of improving physical and emotional wellbeing for women who experience substance use and multiple disadvantages.

Hours: 25 hours per week fixed term up until September 2027 with the potential for extension pending further funding

Funder: Funded through CORRA

Salary: £21,762 (probationary salary for first year) rising to £23,426 (after 1 year and successful completion of probation period) (FTE £30, 467- £32,796)

Pension:Employer contribution at 6% to pension fund.
