Help turn Comrie's heritage into lasting community benefit. Working with Comrie Heritage Group, colleagues and partners, you will develop opportunities that strengthen participation, improve the visitor experience and support Comrie Development Trust's long-term sustainability.
Join a small team delivering lasting benefits for Comrie. During this fixed-term appointment, turn agreed heritage priorities into practical results: progress towards museum Accreditation, heritage-led regeneration guided by the
Heritage Conservation Framework, and activities connecting people with local heritage. Work with the Community Engagement and Volunteer Co-ordinator and Business Development Manager to agree realistic milestones and keep delivery moving.
About you
You will bring strong relationship-building, communication and organisational skills, with experience turning shared projects into practical results. Working knowledge of museums, heritage, research or academia is particularly welcome.
Relevant paid, voluntary and community experience counts; curatorial qualifications are not required.
Help Comrie participate and thrive
Comrie already benefits from people who give their time, skills and energy generously. We want to match that commitment with excellent volunteer support: a warm welcome, thoughtful organisation, clear communication and
recognition of the difference people make.
Help existing volunteers thrive and welcome new participants, particularly younger villagers. Working across Comrie and District, including Cultybraggan Camp, you will connect community priorities with people's interests and talents and help remove barriers to taking part.
Build community involvement in heritage-led regeneration, consultation and fundraising, and volunteer teams for agreed income-generating activities. Begin with existing volunteers and one priority project, with named activity leaders.
You will be one of three complementary part-time roles, alongside heritage and business development colleagues.
You will lead volunteer support and matching, working to a small set of agreed priorities within 14 hours each week.
About you
You will be approachable, organised and good at bringing people together. We welcome experience from employment, volunteering or community involvement, especially supporting volunteers or coordinating group activities.
