Crossroads was founded in 1968, with the declaration that everyone should have the right to ‘live gloriously’. This meant two things: tackling whatever in society gets in the way of a fulfilling life, and nurturing and strengthening people’s confidence and resilience. Based at the Barn in Gorbals, we work with young people, families, and individuals, and work on issues of disability, mental health, migration, housing conditions and much more. Wherever possible we work to bring people together to share experiences, decide together and act together.
Our Board of Trustees is rooted in the community, and elected by members of the Association. These local roots have been essential to the survival of the organisation for over 50 years, against a background that has not always been friendly towards local action or challenges to authority. The survival has also depended on the essential advice and support of legal, financial and organisational talents both within the organisation and from supporters, so that we can demonstrate our integrity and responsibility.
We are looking to increase the strength and breadth of memebrship of our Board of Trustees / Directors and are keen to bring new members on Board. We would particularly welcome interest from younger people, minorities, and those with professional and life experiences we can draw on.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE IS:
To provide individual and group work interventions for vulnerable and disadvantaged ethnically diverse children who are experiencing challenges in the transition to High school in order to promote these children’s overall well-being and enable them to fulfil their potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
As a Community Young Person and Family Support Worker (Crisis Response), you will be required to travel Scotland-wide, with potential overnight stays away from home, with expenses paid.
To continue our existing well-established service and support a Pilot project (Alternative to Policy Custody), we are looking for a keen, enthusiastic individual who has an interest in helping children, young people and their families. This new pilot will be supporting young people away from police involvement and working along side our bespoke young person and family support service.

Purpose & Context of Role
The postholder will manage their own caseload, ensuring support plans are developed with the young person to respond to their individual needs and supporting them to improve outcomes in line with GIRFEC principles and includem’s model of support.
You will be expected to actively demonstrate leadership and ownership over effective service delivery to young people, by managing their outcomes through the use of line managers, colleagues and organisational tools, processes, policies and procedures.

Reeltime Music is a creative youth work charity supporting disadvantaged young people through music and the creative industries. We work in partnership to deliver high-quality workshops, projects, volunteering opportunities, and recording and rehearsal services across North Lanarkshire.
The role
As Project Officer, you will work closely with our CEO to coordinate externally funded, organisational-level projects that support Reeltime Music’s strategic ambitions.
In this role, “project” means funded programmes (e.g. Creative Scotland awards, local authority contracts, targeted funder initiatives) rather than short-term blocks of tutor-led workshops. You’ll help turn strategy into delivery, ensuring projects are well-planned, well-evidenced, and aligned with our long-term goals.

As an organisation, we have traditionally relied heavily on grants and trusts as our main source of income. At this important stage of growth, we are also keen to raise the profile and awareness of U-evolve and the impact of our work supporting young people’s mental health.
This is a new role, offering a real opportunity to shape and develop sustainable income streams, create meaningful fundraising opportunities, and make a tangible impact on the future of our services. Working alongside our Fundraising Lead — who focuses primarily on grants and trusts — you will play a key part in generating income through community fundraising initiatives, events, and corporate sponsorship. Responsibilities will include planning and managing a calendar of fundraising events, identifying opportunities to raise awareness of U-evolve within local communities, delivering talks and presentations to encourage support, and developing and managing sponsorship relationships.

Job Specifics
Salary: £27,500 pro rata
