Your primary role will be
The Individual Giving and Membership Team raises unrestricted funds for the Trust and stewards the membership lifecycle. These significantly contribute to aim 5 of the Trust’s strategy to be a sustainable organisation. The team also has a key contribution to strategic aim 2, encouraging individuals to take action to help bumblebees.
You will be a highly organised and detail-focused individual with excellent customer service skills across phone, email and written communication. Strong verbal and written communication abilities, alongside high computer literacy in Microsoft Office 365, are essential. You will manage detailed administrative tasks and be comfortable maintaining live data on the fundraising CRM database. You will work collaboratively to identify and implement system and process improvements, building effective relationships across dispersed teams. You will be a proactive team player who can independently plan and prioritise their workload, while recognising development needs and undertaking training to adopt new tools and technologies.

COVEY provides 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring and family support.
COVEY is seeking a passionate, professional and proactive individual to provide support to families who are experiencing difficulties or challenges in their everyday lives such as isolation, mental and physical health problems, disability, poverty and trauma. A full or part time role is available. Full time is equivalent to two 24-hour shifts a week including a paid sleepover (the sleepover pay is additional to the basic salary). Part time is roughly equivalent to one shift a week. Each shift also includes an additional ½ hour paid handover.

Independent Age is the only national charity focused solely on improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life. We currently achieve impact through three key activities: advice and support, grant-making, and policy, influencing and campaigning. This year, we have supported over 20,000 people who called our helpline and identified over £6.5 million in unclaimed benefits. We have awarded £3 million in grants, enabling local organisations to reach even more older people living in financial hardship. We also successfully campaigned for the Winter Fuel Payment to be restored to a large number of older people who rely on it, and to improve protections for older renters through the Renters’ Rights Act and the Housing (Scotland) Act.
We are looking to appoint several new trustees to our Board. We are interested in hearing from people who are concerned about the growing impact of poverty in later life on our society, and can bring us any of the following skills or experience:
Every day at Independent Age, we hear from older people who don’t have enough money for a decent standard of living. While they are resourceful, careful and resilient, and employ many tactics to make their low-income work for them, life is hard.
The people who engage with us are part of a group of two million older people living in poverty and a further million living with precarious financial security. Concerningly, our research shows that this number could rise to four million by 2040, without effective policy interventions. This projection must not become a reality.
Certain groups of people aged 65 and over are at greater risk of financial hardship, including one person households, women, people from racially minoritised groups, private renters, carers and people with long-term conditions or disabilities. We particularly encourage applications from people who have backgrounds, characteristics or perspectives that align with any of these priority groups. We’d also like to encourage applications from candidates outside the south-east of England and, in particular, from Scotland.
Previous trustee experience is not necessary because you would be joining a strong, experienced Board and we can provide mentoring and support. The time commitment will be around 1-1.5 days a month on average, focused around the quarterly cycle of board and committee meetings. Trustee roles are not paid. However, we want to help overcome the barriers some people might face to becoming a trustee. We pay reasonable travel, accommodation, subsistence and the cost of care provision for children and dependents when acting on behalf of the charity. Some of these costs can be paid upfront by the charity, if needed. We also pay reasonable costs associated with attending the initial interview.

We have an exciting opportunity to join a new Strategic Partnership Body responsible for financial inclusion in Glasgow.
We are an independent charity whose aim is to prevent or relieve poverty and child poverty in Glasgow and to promote equality and diversity primarily through the development of early intervention and poverty prevention strategies. Co-ordinating collaboration with key local and strategic partners, to provide financial inclusion for the benefit of individuals who ordinarily reside in Glasgow.
The Strategic Body will make decisions on how money to fund financial inclusion services could be raised and then distributed. Their role will be to protect and promote the best interests of the people of Glasgow in relation to financial inclusion. The Independent Board who will make up the Strategic Body will collaborate with the provider group (GAIN – Glasgow Advice and Information Network) and the funder group who will consist of Glasgow City Council along with additional external funders.
A key function will be to attract additional resources and provide an aligned approach to financial inclusion across the City of Glasgow.

About the role
Church Engagement and Fundraising Officers (CEFOs) lead on stewarding our supporting churches in Scotland. As part of our Church & Community Unit, they provide bespoke support to churches and community groups wishing to join our movement through campaigning, fundraising or using our worship resources. CEFOs are home-based but spend a significant amount of working time out and about meeting volunteers, attending supporter events and speaking in churches.
This role has a particular focus on supporting churches in their community fundraising and stewarding our challenge and sponsorship fundraisers. They will also lead on our involvement with the Kiltwalk.

• Working alongside support workers, the Community Connector will focus on helping women to build recovery capital – their personal resilience, social networks, and community connections. The role brings additional capacity for group work, community engagement, and peer-led activities, complementing the direct support already provided by the team.
• You will support women to set goals, explore their strengths and aspirations, and access opportunities that promote wellbeing, recovery, and inclusion. By co-designing groups and activities, and linking women into local services, volunteering, and community resources, you will play a key part in reducing isolation and repeat homelessness.

Established in 1965, Murray’s Initiative adopts a long-term, trauma-informed and asset-based approach to changing the culture around substance use. About the Role:
The Group Worker will support our peer-led Harm Reduction Service (U-Turn) benefiting young people 11 – 25 years old to design and deliver youth-led inputs on issue-based topics, with a focus to incorporate harm reduction approaches and address stigma/language around substance use.
The Group Worker will have responsibility for developing our weekly groups for our Peer Educators to take part in training around areas such as leadership, team building, issue-based topics and wellbeing. These groups will provide a safe, trauma-informed space where individuals will be able to feel confident to develop coping skills and resilience.
The service specifically targets some of the most vulnerable young people in areas where Murray’s Initiative currently delivers services, aiming to reduce the harm caused by alcohol and other drugs within their communities.
The Peer Educators will be supported to deliver peer-led inputs to other Young People on issued-based topics, with a focus to incorporate a harm reduction approach as well as a separate element of addressing stigma/language around drug and alcohol use.
The Group Worker will report to the Service Manager – Education & Development.
