Clydeside Initiative for Arts Ltd is the charity behind SWG3 — one of Glasgow’s most recognised and ambitious cultural destinations. For more than 20 years, the organisation has supported artists, creative communities, and cultural activity across the city, creating opportunities for people to connect, collaborate, and thrive through creativity.
Today, SWG3 is one of Scotland’s largest creative hubs, bringing together artists, musicians, designers, makers, creative businesses, communities, and audiences within a unique multi-purpose cultural space. About the Role of Chair
As part of this next phase, Clydeside Initiative for Arts Ltd is seeking to appoint a new Chair to lead and support the Board of Trustees.
Working closely with the Executive Director and Board, the Chair will provide strategic leadership, support effective governance, and help ensure the organisation continues to grow sustainably while remaining connected to the communities and creative sectors it serves.
This is an opportunity to help shape the future direction of a distinctive and ambitious cultural charity during a significant period of growth and development. The Chair will foster an open, collaborative, and inclusive Board culture, supporting constructive discussion, strong decision-making, and effective governance.
The successful candidate will also act as a trusted sounding board to the Executive Director, providing support, encouragement, and constructive challenge, while helping strengthen partnerships and relationships across the cultural, public, private, and charitable sectors.
About You
We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who bring previous Board or Chair experience, alongside the ability to provide strategic leadership within a growing and evolving organisation.
The successful candidate will bring sound judgement, strong relationship-building skills, and the confidence to support and challenge constructively. They will be comfortable operating within a collaborative environment and able to help guide organisational development during a period of change and increasing visibility.
While applications are welcomed from a range of professional backgrounds, experience within areas such as culture, regeneration, placemaking, the public sector, education, community development, property, partnerships, or organisational leadership would be valuable. Connections across Glasgow’s cultural, civic, or policy landscape would also be advantageous.

The Site Development & Facilities Lead will play a key role in overseeing the development, improvement and long-term management of WATIF’s buildings and facilities. The postholder will take responsibility for progressing projects that bring buildings and spaces into active community use, managing work from planning through to completion and ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for purpose.
Working closely with staff, contractors, trustees and external partners, the postholder will help shape the future development of WATIF’s sites and support the organisation’s wider vision for community benefit.
You will take a leading role in transforming spaces into valuable community assets, helping turn ideas and plans into practical, usable facilities that support local people and future opportunities. The role combines strategic planning with practical delivery

WATIF is a development trust supporting the rural villages of Woolfords, Auchengray and Tarbrax and the surrounding area. We work to strengthen and develop our communities by leading and supporting projects that respond to local needs and opportunities. East Dunbartonshire Women’s Aid (EDWA) is looking for a passionate and skilled individual to join our team. We are looking for a Finance Officer who will be committed to our aims and values and who will bring extensive financial management experience and skills to our charity.
The main role of the post holder will be to oversee and manage the overall financial health of the charity, ensuring the sustainability of our services and providing financial monitoring information to our main funders and our Board of Trustees. As our Finance Officer, you’ll help ensure that every £1 donated creates maximum impact for the women, children and young people who need it most.
EDWA operates with a high level of funding from a variety of sources and applicants should therefore have at least two years’ experience of managing significant budgets with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.

This is a unique opportunity to support the effective coordination of CCN, and support CCN’s members to shape the development of the newly independent organisation. About CCN:
The Coastal Communities Network (or CCN) launched in 2017 with support from NGO Fauna & Flora, as a platform to bring together community organisations dedicated to safeguarding Scotland's coastal and marine environments. CCN has since grown from its eight founding members into a diverse network of over 35 Scottish community-led groups, ranging from informal volunteer-run groups to larger, charitable organisations, all united by a shared sense of accountability to their community and commitment to marine and coastal protection and restoration. CCN and its members have been a driving force behind remarkable achievements for the nature of Scotland's coastal areas. Together, members work on a wide range of marine and coastal topics, including marine management, community-led restoration, marine litter and pollution and industrial impact.
CCN’s mission is to connect and strengthen community-led efforts to protect, restore, and sustainably use coastal & marine resources for the benefit of nature, people, and climate. Our aims are to support local action to protect and restore marine and coastal biodiversity; build capacity for community participation and leadership in marine management, and advocate for a community voice in decision-making for the marine environment.
2025 marked a pivotal point for CCN as, following a collective decision by members, it became an independent Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO). This exciting development sees us now transitioning into employing our own staff and developing our strategy, as we continue to support an increasing interest from communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping Scotland’s devolved social security system, ensuring it operates in line with the principles of dignity, fairness and respect.
SCoSS is an independent advisory Non-Departmental Public Body established by the Social Security (Scotland) Act 2018. It provides independent scrutiny of Scottish social security regulations and reports to both the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Ministers.

REMUNERATION AND TIME COMMITMENT
The Member role is remunerated at a daily fee of £225, based on a 7.5‑hour day. This fee is set in accordance with the Scottish Government’s Public Sector Pay Policy for public appointments. The role is non‑pensionable, meaning no employer pension contributions are paid
Members devote 36 days per annum to performing your functions as and when required. You will be expected to attend meetings regularly, prepare in advance, and contribute fully to all aspects of the role.
Board meetings are currently held online approximately once a month, with around one in‑person meeting held annually. Additional ad hoc online meetings are scheduled as required.
