The Role

Cloch’s vision is to deliver homes and services that exceed customer expectations, and the role of Housing Officer is central to achieving this. As part of our Housing and Communities team, you will play a key professional role in delivering high quality, consistent and customer focused housing services across Inverclyde.

This is a frontline role requiring sound judgement, balanced decision making and strong relationship management. You will take lead responsibility for a defined patch of housing stock and a caseload of tenants, acting as a visible and trusted presence within the community and working proactively to sustain tenancies, manage risk and maintain safe, well managed neighbourhoods.

You will work closely with Assistant Housing Officers, the Housing Manager and colleagues across Community Support and Property Services, leading a broad range of housing management activities, including:

  • Tenancy & Income Management: managing rent accounts across a defined patch, preventing arrears through early intervention, agreeing repayment arrangements and progressing proportionate recovery and legal action where required.
  • Anti Social Behaviour & Enforcement: leading the investigation and management of ASB and tenancy breach cases, balancing tenancy sustainment with firm, proportionate enforcement to protect communities.
  • Estate & Neighbourhood Management: maintaining standards through estate inspections, addressing environmental and neighbourhood issues, and taking action where tenancy conditions or safety concerns arise.
  • Allocations & Voids: providing professional oversight of allocations, supporting tenancy sign ups, applying judgement in higher risk or complex cases, and contributing to reducing void loss.
  • Customer Engagement & Service Delivery: acting as a key point of contact for tenants, delivering clear, professional communication, resolving issues early and supporting a positive customer experience.
  • Casework & Partnership Working: managing complex and high risk cases, working closely with internal teams and external agencies to support tenancy sustainment, safeguarding and positive outcomes.

This is a two-year fixed term, part time (14 hours per week) job share post with a salary of £42,707–£46,895 (Grade 7, pro rata), hybrid working arrangements, 8 weeks’ annual leave (pro rata), family friendly policies, SHAPS pension scheme and a strong focus on wellbeing.

About Us

Toonspeak, based in Glasgow, offers a range of arts opportunities to young people, with a focus on the performing arts as part of our DNA as a young people’s theatre organisation. A unique organisation, we provide young people aged 0-25 from across Glasgow with opportunities to participate in high-quality arts experiences, free of charge.

The Role

Board meetings take place four times per year, in February, May, August and November. Quarterly meetings are held in person, outside of office hours, at one of our Glasgow venues and are two hours in length. There is the option to take part remotely if Board members are unable to attend in person, however travel expenses are supported to allow in person attendance to be possible.

We are looking to recruit four new Board directors in 2026. We are actively recruiting for new Board directors with lived experience in facing barriers to access. We are particularly interested in hearing from people aged 18-25, as well as those with specific expertise in Theatre, Child Protection & Safeguarding, and Strategy & Policy Development.

Home-Start West Lothian (HSWL) a well-recognised charity supporting families, primarily with at least one child under 5, living in West Lothian. The families we support face challenges such as the impact of poor mental health, isolation, physical health issues, multiple births, domestic abuse, navigating the complex asylum process as well as dealing with the impact of trauma . HSWL receive referrals from a variety of sources including Health Visitors, Social Work, Family Nurse Practitioners and Education. Families can also self-refer.

Whilst volunteer home-visiting remains at the core of our service, we also offer a variety of other supports including groups and more intensive family support.

HSWL are expanding their Board of Trustees and are looking to recruit new members to join their team. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for supporting parents and their young families with skillsets such as social care, employability, health and safety, fundraising and marketing.

Charity Trusteeships can be incredibly rewarding as well as supporting personal and professional development. Along with your fellow Trustees and the senior management team, you will set the long-term strategic direction of HSWL and provide advice and guidance in your specialist field where applicable. The Trustees ensure that performance is monitored and managed through internal controls and delegation and approve key strategies and policies to allow the organisation to achieve its objectives.

The Board of Trustees currently meets in person every 3 months (early evening) with subgroups meeting online between these times. Trustees will also be asked to support sub-groups as required. The initial appointment is for a 3-year term with the opportunity for reappointment.

The is a voluntary position but expenses are offered.
