The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre Perth & Kinross are looking for an Operations Manager to join our expanding team.

This new post will be responsible for the operational management of RASAC P&K Services and deputising for the Centre Manager when required.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our dedicated team, providing a range of Support, Prevention and Advocacy services for survivors of sexual violence living in Perth & Kinross. The post holder will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors to lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of existing and new services. The post will also involve working with a range of stakeholders to improve the identification of, and responses to, sexual violence. This will include applying and reporting to a variety of funders as required.

We are looking for someone who is collaborative in their approach, has excellent inter-personal skills and is able to adapt quickly to change. A commitment to a feminist analysis of gender-based violence is essential, alongside a minimum of 2 years management/leadership experience. Current or former experience of working in the Violence Against Women sector is desirable.

Funding for this position is indicative to the end of March 2028. RASAC P&K will endeavour to secure ongoing funding beyond this date.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who will have responsibility for overseeing day to day financial operations across all aspects of the organisation. This will include, but is not limited to: developing budgets, forecasting and projections, bookkeeping, day to day finance tasks, and maintaining management accounts. The post holder will report to the Development Manager.

Purpose of the Post

Glengarry Community Development Trust is a growing organisation and is playing an increasingly key role in the development of Glengarry. The successful post holder will join us at a critical time as we prepare to open our cabin business, and implement the community action plan. The post holder will work alongside the Development Manager across all existing and new projects to ensure that financial systems and processes are fit for purpose and reviewed as required. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to support with any activity which is finance related ranging from management accounts to day to day finance related queries from the staff team. The role is crucial for providing accurate financial information to support strategic decisions and for ensuring the organisation's financial health and integrity.

Glengarry Community Development Trust is looking for an experienced person with knowledge of basic building maintenance and operations, and basic timber construction methods who is able to work as part of a new team. We are looking for a practical, organised and skilled person to help run our forest cabins, amenity building and general site.

Purpose of the Post

Our new Builder and Facilities Manager will work with the staff team, including the Accommodation Manager, Development Manager, Administrator, and Finance Manager to ensure that a guest centred approach is taken to operating the business. The role will be responsible for overarching facilities management, overseeing maintenance of six off-grid wooden cabins, associated out-buildings, the amenity building, and the wider site. The role will also be responsible for ongoing development of the site, including construction of new woodsheds, a bin store, and other infrastructure required to operate Glengarry Forest Cabins. The post holder will develop maintenance manuals, and ensure accurate records are kept. They will take responsibility for key areas of operations such as the heating and will need a good understanding of statutory and legal requirements in relation to facilities management of this nature. The business is operational seven days per week through most of the year, and the post holder will be required to ensure the buildings remain operational throughout.

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Countryside Trust (LLTCT) was established in 2012 as a charitable company focussing on improving the natural environment, connecting communities and delivering health and well-being activities within the National Park. LLTCT is a small team of experienced staff supported by committed volunteers delivering a wide range of benefits to nature and people. We have brought extensive experience, knowledge and connections in nature restoration through working with over 30 land managers, community groups, charities, local businesses and statutory bodies on Wild Strathfillan (a 50,000-hectare landscape-scale project).

We now need to build capacity within the team to further develop our people and community-focussed work.

Working in partnership with Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority and RSPB Scotland, LLTCT has committed to the exciting new Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Landscape Connections (LLTLC) Initiative, funded by The National Heritage Lottery Fund. This focuses on accelerating restoration of our woodland mosaic, addressing shared threats, and maximising shared opportunities for people and communities across three existing landscape partnerships (Wild Strathfillan, The Great Trossachs Forest, Lomond Rainforest).

About the Project / Service

As a Change Mental Health practitioner, you work directly with service users who require immediate or on going emotional, practical or vocational support in order to deliver the best possible outcomes. You will work with service users to develop and review personal plans, although ultimate oversight rests with the Senior Project Worker. You work closely with other members of staff to achieve outcomes as defined by my line manager. Within the area team there is a clear line management structure which supports and shapes the practice. You will contribute to an environment where people can relax, re-establish social skills and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team building positive working relationships.
  • In partnership with service users, implement outcome focused development plans as designed/overseen by my line manager to enable service users to achieve their identified goals.
  • To achieve outcomes, Employ several appropriate intervention strategies including positive communication skills.
  • Ensure that the Resource Centre is welcoming, clean, tidy and safe.
  • Carry out ongoing risk assessment that is integral to ensure the wellbeing of service users.
  • Demonstrate group work skills which bring people together in a safe environment
  • Have an awareness of appropriate professional boundaries including confidentiality
  • Understand the requirements of Health and Safety in the workplace and follow Change Mental Health policies.

General Duties:

  • Act in accordance with Data Protection legislation. Ensure all records, personal, staff and client data are managed in line with Data Management and Information Governance policies
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements such as provisions set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • As with all employees, workers and volunteers; to encourage people to join Change Mental Health as a member, donor or activist
  • To act in accordance with the charity’s Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies and to notify your line manager promptly if there are any concerns
  • To participate in regular supervision and appraisal and undertake any relevant training as appropriate to the role
  • To work in accordance with the charity’s national policies and local operating procedures and those of external regulators or professional bodies

Essential Criteria:

  • Ideally educated to SVQ level 2 or have relevant experience working in health and social care
  • Able to plan and prioritise your workload
  • My professional self -awareness means that I can seek support and advice from my line manager appropriately and participate in supervision and support meetings positively

You will be based predominantly in our premises in Airdrie. Some outreach work will be required and some home working may be possible. The post is for 21 hours per week, to be worked across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Weekly evening work and a degree of flexibility is required to meet the needs of our clients

This post is fixed term and will end on 30 June 2030, on-going funding will be sought to maintain it. The annual salary is £27,963 pro rata. Induction training will be provided, as well as enhanced employer pension contribution (following 3-month probationary period), death in benefit scheme and attractive holiday leave benefits.
