Clydeside Initiative for Arts Ltd is the charity behind SWG3 — one of Glasgow’s most recognised and ambitious cultural destinations. About the Role of Chair

As part of this next phase, Clydeside Initiative for Arts Ltd is seeking to appoint a new Chair to lead and support the Board of Trustees.

Working closely with the Executive Director and Board, the Chair will provide strategic leadership, support effective governance, and help ensure the organisation continues to grow sustainably while remaining connected to the communities and creative sectors it serves.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future direction of a distinctive and ambitious cultural charity during a significant period of growth and development. The Chair will foster an open, collaborative, and inclusive Board culture, supporting constructive discussion, strong decision-making, and effective governance.

The successful candidate will also act as a trusted sounding board to the Executive Director, providing support, encouragement, and constructive challenge, while helping strengthen partnerships and relationships across the cultural, public, private, and charitable sectors.

About You

We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who bring previous Board or Chair experience, alongside the ability to provide strategic leadership within a growing and evolving organisation.

The successful candidate will bring sound judgement, strong relationship-building skills, and the confidence to support and challenge constructively. They will be comfortable operating within a collaborative environment and able to help guide organisational development during a period of change and increasing visibility.

While applications are welcomed from a range of professional backgrounds, experience within areas such as culture, regeneration, placemaking, the public sector, education, community development, property, partnerships, or organisational leadership would be valuable. Connections across Glasgow’s cultural, civic, or policy landscape would also be advantageous.

About the Role

As a Young People’s Counsellor, you will:

  • Deliver a professional one to one counselling service within school settings
  • Provide counselling to children and young people presenting with a range of emotional and mental health needs
  • Undertake assessments, plan and deliver therapeutic interventions, and review progress
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records, statistics, and school reporting documentation using Salesforce CRM
  • Practice in accordance with BACP ethical frameworks, safeguarding, and child protection procedures
  • Work closely with the Senior Counsellor to ensure consistent standards and service quality
  • Liaise appropriately with school staff, admin colleagues, and partner organisations
  • Attend wellbeing meetings and engage fully in supervision and reflective practice
  • Contribute to service development and ongoing improvement

Person Specification

Essential

  • A recognised counselling diploma
  • Specialist training in counselling children and young people
  • Current membership of BACP or COSCA
  • Experience providing therapeutic counselling to children and young people
  • Ability to work within a recognised theoretical framework
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and child protection in youth or school settings
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage a counselling caseload
  • Willingness to travel between schools as required

Desirable

  • Experience of working within school environments
  • Experience liaising with partner agencies or multidisciplinary teams

The successful applicants will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in health and social care or other relevant subject, or a willingness to work towards a qualification.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team. An ability to cover on-call is an advantage (additional payments are made for this role).

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) are seeking a Senior Access Officer to join our dynamic and effective Conservation and Engagement team.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Conservation & Engagement, the Senior Access Officer (SAO) will lead on local authority statutory access functions across Fife. Acting in a technical advisory role, providing advice and guidance to FC departments (e.g. communities, planning and legal). Working with colleagues to ensure that FCCT’s statutory duties in relation to the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 and service level agreement commitments are met in relation to outdoor access on all FCCT sites.

About you:

We are looking for a driven and proactive individual who has excellent collaboration, negotiation and communication skills, and knowledge/experience of outdoor access legislation. You will bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to SCQF level 8, which includes an HND or Advanced Highers or equivalent in a relevant subject eg Law
  • Working knowledge/experience and understanding of the legislation regarding outdoor access, especially the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, Scottish Outdoor Access Code and how these affect access rights.
  • Experience in conflict management / mediation
  • Experience working with legislation and case law
  • Able to work to a higher intent, work independently to achieve objectives, and be fully accountable for actions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate, persuade and be diplomatic, but also assertive.
  • Experience of working closely with local authorities
  • Good track record of collaborative working, developing and maintaining effective relationships.
  • High standard of communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience of report writing and briefing stakeholders.
  • Decisive and organised.
  • Diligent and conscientious work ethic.
  • Proactive and shows initiative, with ability to identify new opportunities.
  • Excellent team player, able to put shared goals before self.
  • Knowledge of GIS mapping or a desire to learn
