The Communications Officer is a delivery-focused position responsible for implementing agreed external and internal communications activity for Plan Vivo. Scotland’s Fair Access Map is a partnership project co‑funded by Carnegie Education Fund and The Robertson Trust, developed with SCAPP and built by The Open University. Turning Point Scotland is the biggest provider of services to people experiencing or at risk of Homelessness across Scotland, delivering support to around 2000 individuals on any given day, 4500 per year.
We believe that in many cases, Homelessness is entirely preventable. Where Homelessness is not or cannot be, prevented the experience should be brief and non-recurring.
We provide support to people who are;
Around two thirds of our work is with people who are experiencing Homelessness.
We believe a menu of options should be available to individuals to prevent, or support someone to move on from Homelessness. This ensures we use a ‘no wrong door’ approach to accessing service and behind this door, people should be met with a ‘Whole System Approach’ to support.
We deliver a range of outreach services including Housing Support (Short and Long Term / Intensive); Housing First and Crisis Support.

How you can help us
As a panel mediator, you will independently facilitate mediations on behalf of the SLCC. These are typically early-stage disputes relating to legal services, where your expertise will help parties reach fair and constructive outcomes.
Mediations are allocated on a flexible, as-needed basis and offered by email. We are looking for panel members who can commit to taking on work regularly (typically at least once per month) to support service delivery.
The vast majority of mediations are conducted remotely, although there is potential for occasional in-person sessions across Scotland. Flexibility to travel when required is desirable.

We are looking to appoint a part-time Project Worker 1 within our Thrive Service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced worker to join Barnardo's and support service delivery within our children and young people's disability service.
We are seeking individuals who are keen to develop their experience of supporting children and young people through groupwork and on a 1-1 basis at our service base. The Thrive service operates Monday – Thursday from after school until early evening to 7pm. The work pattern each week would be 24 hours over Monday – Thursday from 1.30 – 7.30pm.
